Thanks for giving my story a try.
"And suddenly you just know it's time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings."
Chapter 1: Well if it isn't the astronaut
I ran out of the house. The rain was pouring down but I didn't care, I didn't care about my clothes getting wet, about the water in my shoes, about the rain that was blending with my tears, about the fact that it was the middle of the night. I didn't care.
I kept running, I didn't know where I was going and my legs wouldn't stop. The only thing that could be heard was the deafening sound of the rain drops hitting the ground. I couldn't even hear my own thoughts, although I didn't know what I was thinking, maybe it was nothing since I felt numb.
I came to a stop when I bumped into something. I raised my head and looked right into the deepest blue eyes that I had ever seen.
"Woah, easy tiger. What are you doing in the middle of the rain?" He had his hands on my shoulders, and I think his hands were the only reason why I wasn't running again.
"Wh-Who are y-you?"
"My name is Noah." He looked me up and down once more before speaking. "Look, I don't know what's wrong or why you're running but my grandpa's home is right here, come inside. You can get warm and clear your head." He was talking to me slowly as if he was scared I would run.
"I-I don't know you." I was shaking and stuttering and freezing.
"I know you don't but I don't want to leave you here so come." I gave a deep sigh before slowly nodding and... that's the last thing I remember before blacking out.
I woke up with the sunlight hitting my face, I felt a warm blanket on me and snuggled deeper into it, but the problem was the smell. It wasn't a bad one, it was pretty good, amazing, but I didn't recognize it. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking a few times to get used to the light.
I glanced around the room looking for anything that looked familiar but had no luck. The door opened slowly and I looked at it wanting to see who it was.
"You're up." I changed position so I was sitting while looking at the guy in front of me and that's when memories of last night came back at me.
"Oh my God." I whispered although he heard.
"What?"
"What time is it?"
"8:45. Why?"
"I've been out for so long. And not to mention I'm on the bed of someone who found me in the middle of the night in the rain and who probably thinks I'm crazy."
He chuckled a bit. "Don't worry I think everyone has a bit of craziness inside them, you're on the normal rate."
I let a small smile. "I'm sorry about last night."
"It's okay, really. Are you feeling alright? You kind of blacked out." He was staring at me, as if checking if I was broken.
"I'm fine. I need to go though. Thank you very much for everything, you didn't have to do that." I slowly get off the bed immediately missing the warm embrace of it.
