"What doesn't kill you...
Leaves you broken instead...
And it makes you wish you were dead..."Chapter 15: No offense to gorillas.
Previously:
"Everything changed when I met you though. I don't know why exactly but seeing you made me want to change, it made me want to be a better person." He ended hugging me back, tightly.
"I trust you Noah. I really trust you." I said.
He chuckled. "If telling you my life story was all it would take to make you trust me, I'd have told you a long time ago."
I hit his chest playfully. "How can you be so happy?"
"I'm not always happy, but when I am, it's because I'm surrounded by things I actually like." He answered smiling at me. Damn, his smile is so beautiful.
"I really like you too, Noah." I said.
"But?" He raised an eyebrow.
"But I'm not ready. And I totally get it if you don't want to wait for me because you don't have to." I said lowering my head.
"Princess, I don't mind waiting. If it's waiting for you. I really like you, Riley." He gave me a warm smile that seriously made my heart want to escape. I smiled back at him, feeling so genuinely happy in that moment.
Now:
"Let's get back before you fall asleep here." Said Noah chuckling.
"I'm not," I yawned. "tired."
"Of course you aren't." He gave me a grin.
We got inside my room and I collapsed on my bed.
"Not tired at all." Noah mumbled.
"Shut up." I said, my voice came out muffled from the sheets.
He chuckled, again. "Get up and put on some PJs."
I pouted and shook my head.
"Don't make me change you myself." Those words washed off my sleep and I was up on my feet. I got changed in the bathroom after getting a pair of Levi's sweatpants for Noah. Yes, he had sweatpants here. That's how much they stayed here.
"I'm sleeping on the ground tonight." I said to Noah making my way to my closet to take some blankets.
"Don't be stupid. You're not sleeping on the ground in your house." Noah answered.
"Yes I am. You slept last time, so I'm sleeping this time." He sighed and got up from the bed, making his way towards me. In a second I was in his arms. I couldn't suppress the squeal that escaped my lips. He flopped me on the bed and then laid down next to me.
"You know this is weird right?" I mumbled.
"Nah." He shook his head and leaned closer to me. If he kisses me, my heart is going to stop.
He kissed me cheek.
I didn't know if I felt relieved or sad.
