"Falling for him wasn't falling at all. It was walking into a house and suddenly knowing you're home."
Chapter 20: That is sexist don't you think?
Previously:
NOAH." I yelled and ran towards him. I pulled him by putting my hands under his armpits. His hand touched the car and he hissed in pain. I grimaced, it felt like I was feeling his pain.
"Sam." He said. "He's... hurt... help... h-him."
I heard a screech and I turned my head to see Winter in front of us. But she wasn't looking at me nor Noah, she was looking forward. I turned to see and that sight made my blood freeze. Sam's head was leaning against the headrest and there was way more blood on his face than it was on Noah's face. His side of the car was pushed inside and it had caught his arm from what I could see, the upper part of the car was resting on top of his head.
"Somebody call the ambulance." I screamed.
"We can't. The race is illegal." Somebody from the crowd said.
"How the hell are we supposed to help them?" I turned to see where the voice had come from with full fury.
In that moment Nathan and Luke came and ran inside the car to help Sam. After a lot of trying and screaming and groaning from a nearly unconscious Sam he was also out.
"Let's take them to the hospital." One of them said. As they took Sam, the fat man we had met before came and helped me with Noah.
"I... need... sleep." Noah mumbled.
"No no no no no, baby please stay with me, please. You can't sleep. Just talk to me." I pleaded to him.
"What... to say?" He asked almost breathlessly.
"I don't know. Whatever. Just please don't close your eyes." I rushed my voice. We had reached a car that I didn't recognize but I couldn't care less at the moment.
"Every... thing," He took a deep breath. "Hurts."
"I know baby, I know." I could feel the tears in my eyes but I couldn't let them fall. I had to be strong. I had to be strong for Noah.
After we sat Noah on the back, his head leaning against my shoulder, my shirt was bloody as well as my hands but I would have loved for it be my blood just to not see him hurt. It was too much for me.
"We'll be there shortly. Hang in there Noah boy." The man said as he looked at the road, going way over speed to reach the hospital.
Now:
I was pacing on the hallway. I couldn't sit down. They were hurt and my heart was aching. This stupid heart. I need to be strong but here I am pacing like a mad woman.
If I get my hands on Ryan he will be dead.
Everyone was here, Sam's parents, Levi, Luke, Nathan, Natasha, Miley, and even Winter who was staying at the corner of the room, a sobbing mess who no one dared to approach. But there was nobody from Noah's family.
I tried contacting Jonathan but he didn't answer his phone and I didn't think it would be a good idea to try and reach out to Noah's father since Noah wasn't his biggest fan.
The doctors had asked what had happened and Luke had answered with a believable story far from the truth. I didn't like that but I couldn't do anything about it.
"Samuel Martin?" A doctor said walking towards us.
His parents were on their feet in a heartbeat. "We're his parents." Mr. Martin said. "Is he alright?"
