"A person's action will tell you everything you need to know."

Chapter 3: You know this is called assault?

Previously:

"Have a boyfriend back there?" Nathan asked.

I felt Noah tense a little but didn't pay attention to it. "Nope."

"Would you like one here?" Nathan wiggled his eyebrow suggestively.

I chuckled a bit. "Nah, I'm good."

"As you wish, just know that you lost a dime here."

"Or dodged a bullet." Miley muttered under her breath and apparently everyone on the table heard it except Nathan since they all started laughing except him.

"Yo Riley." I turned around and was, for the third time today, faced with Jonathan.

"Jonathan leave before things get ugly." Sam said with a stone look on his face.

"I'm here to talk to my friend." He got closer to me and put an arm around my shoulder. "Aren't we Sugar?"

Before I could answer Noah's fist met Jonathan's face and he was plopped down on the floor.

Jonathan started laughing as he got up.

"Nice punch Noah boy."

"You have no business with her or any other friend of mine, now go away before things get ugly." Noah said through gritted teeth.

"Now, now. We wouldn't want daddy to know about your little burst, would we?"

Noah didn't speak, he just kept glaring at Jonathan who chuckled. He stepped closer to Noah and whispered.

"See you home, little brother."

Now:

I looked around and noticed everyone around the table was frozen, hell, the whole cafeteria was frozen. I glanced at Noah and I swear if he was a cartoon character smoke would be coming out of his ears right now. He looked me in the eyes and in a blink he grabbed my hand and started speed-walking out of the cafeteria. I could basically feel the eyes of everyone in my back but I was to busy running to keep up with Noah's pace to do something about that.

We only stopped walking when we were at the soccer field. He started pacing back and forth even I started getting dizzy. I was so tired standing and the ground was basically calling my name so I did the most mature thing that could be done.

I sat on the ground.

I guess that's all it took for Noah to stop pacing and look at me. Well glad to know that you notice me when I sit on the ground.

"What are you doing?" He asked, actually looking confused.

"Oh I wanted to dig a hole but I was too lazy to do that standing so I decided to sit and then start digging. What does it look like I'm doing? I'm sitting." I just love a drop of sarcasm on every five sentences that leave my mouth.

He rolled his eyes. "I can see that Sherlock but why on the ground?"

"Well I didn't think it would be a good idea to leave you here and go sit at the bleachers plus the ground was calling me and I can bet it's more comfier."

He shook his head but then sat next to me. Is this guy bipolar or what?

"Is Jonathan your brother?" I asked after a few seconds.

"No."

"But he-"

"He's my step-brother, from my father's side."
