Her angry eyes makes my blood boil. The rest of the world forgotten as I stare at her. We have not spoken a word since the hospital and I know that it might be the end of our friendship.

"She's still mad," his voice makes the world come crashing down around me. The whispers and fingers slamming on keyboards echo in my ears.

His eyes show the uncertainty that he feels, "I can see that."

Nate shifts in his seat as he focus at the task ahead. Writing our paper.

Such a minuscule task compared to what must be going through his mind. The letters glide through the screen but I have absolutely no idea what I am writing.

"I'm going to talk to her," he states and I knew this was going to happen. They were friends before I was even in the picture.

Nate is a good person. He deserves to be treated that way. Throwing her one last glare I sink back into my seat as Nate walks, slowly, over.

There is nothing for me to do. He is his own person if he wants to be her friend that is his choice.

The parking lot is crowded as I make my way to my car. I do not want to be there when they talk. She might say something and set my wolf off.

"I heard that there is something roaming the forest around the school," a girl whispers to her friend.

"Yeah, a girl said she heard something howling just a few days ago. Maybe no one should be wandering around campus alone," he gives her a sweet smile.

"Right," the girl glances around, "Amanda, you live down the hall from me. We should stick together." The girl runs to Amanda and the guy stands there completely stunned.

"I meant we should stick together," he mutters, "how did I manage to blow it this time?"

The guy walks pass me as I unlock my car.

"Mel," his voice stops me from opening the door. His tall stature makes me frown, how could I have missed him.

"Dad," I take a step towards him but he is faster than me and his arms wrap around me. His hug swallows my small body.

"Oh my princess," he gives me kiss on top of my head.

"What's the matter? Did something happen?" He tightens his hug.

"I want to make sure you were okay," his hug crushes my ribs as my lungs scream for air.

He reluctantly steps away as a gasp of breath fills me.

"I was a okay but if you hugged me like that for another moment I might have not been." I cough out as a smile tugs at my lips. I am always happy to see my father.

"Sweetie," his hand caresses my chin forcing me to look into his golden eyes.

"Yes dad," there is spark that is quickly blinked away as he closes his eyes.

"Your mother and I are going away for a while and," he gulps down, "I wanted to let you know that we are not going to be at the pack house."

"Okay? Where are you going?" He releases my face and starts walking away. "Hey!"

"We have some business to take care of," I see my parents car in the back of the parking lot. "Stay by Chase's side," with those last words my father leaves me.

The darkness intensifies as the temperature drops.

"They're close."

Gravity pulls my body downwards.

"She's coming for me."

The menacing voice shows no indication of being afraid. No worries.
