There are different types of adrenaline, the one that I am experiencing is the one that pulses to life when you are ready for what is coming.
The rogue lunges as my mind calculate his impact, without much effort I dodge his attempt. He does not seem too happy with having a girl escape him so easily.
"You're dead," he states harshly as his body fling around and his bloody irises stare at me.
"You have to catch me first," a smirk pulls at the corner of my lips as Beth stares at me in amusement.
"She's good," Beth smiles at me.
The rogue rushes towards me but I miscalculate where he is heading and sidestep him. His body collides with mine.
"Crap," his claws scratch at my ribs as I roll out of his grip.
"Where do you think you're going," he hisses into my ear. A sinister smile spreads across his lips as he pulls me closer to him.
With all the force I can muster I twist around and my elbow connects with his temple.
A howl of pain rips through his chest as I escape his hold and rush to my feet.
"No more playing nice," he barks and his body shakes before me.
"He's going to shift," Beth steps forward but I step in her path.
"I got this," I assure her.
His wolf stands taller than me as I stare up into his eyes. His lips roll back baring his teeth at me.
"Did a little girl make you fight in your wolf form?" I smile at him as he takes a step closer.
My own wolf pushes herself away from my mind as I stare at the rogue.
"You don't want to play nice," I step up to him, he snaps. His teeth clamp down loudly trying to scare me off but I do not even flinch at his display. I can sense her before I even see her.
The rogue's eyes wander past me and follow her pace as she moves side to side behind me. Her distraction gives me an opening.
His snout is a foot away from me but his eyes have forgotten about me, bad choice. My hand closes into a fist and it swiftly connects with the side of his snout as he howls out in pain.
My wolf lunges at it as I drop to the ground as his teeth snap at my head.
"Eve," I hit the ground hard as she bites at his hind legs. She forces him to move away from me. "We have to beat him," I stand and she is by my side.
Her eyes lock on the rogue and there is a hint of amusement as she glances at me.
"You got this," Beth yells as she playfully punches the guy next to her.
The rogue rushes towards me as I run at him. Fear would normally cripple me but with Eve here I can face the danger. Eve lunges at me her body collides with me. Her presence invades my mind and she is back.
Go for its neck.
The rogue's head slams to the side, he wants a direct hit but yet again I am faster. Dodging his attempt my arms wrap around his neck.
Eve surfaces and with ease the crack of his neck registers in my mind and a small yelp is followed by silence.
The limp wolf drops to my feet with a thump.
"What did I tell ya," Beth is practically jumping, "she is not a normal wolf."
"She's not normal at all."
