His singing was horrible.

America: I am perfectly good at singing! Broadway! Hamilton!

England: if you start singing about you're independence one more time I will kill you!

America: why should a tiny island across the sea regulate the price of tea!

England: *trying to strangle America* I warned you!

America: *running away and laughing*

Both Matthias and Sunniva grimaced at the noise. Arthur covered his ears.

China: do crabs even have ears aru?

Russia: nyet... they don't.

America: it's Disney! Laws of reality don't mean anything!

"Wow. Somebody should find that poor animal and put it out of its misery." Matthias said as he rowed under the branch Alfred was singing on. Alfred winked and made a circle with three feathers sticking up to show he had this. Sunniva face palmed; she was doomed.
"Jeez, man, I'm surrounded by amateurs!" Arthur hissed as he dove into the water. He broke off a piece of an underwater green plant to conduct with.
"You want something done, you've got to do it yourself." Arthur stated as he swam back up the surface.
"First, we got to create the mood. Percussion. . . . " Arthur waved to a groups of ducks who began banging turtle's shells like drums.
"Strings. . . . " Arthur pointed to the crickets who began to move their legs to make noise like violins.
"Winds. . . . " He pointed to the reeds in the pond who with a gust of wind caused them to sound like flutes.
"Words. . . ." He said as he climbed on top a cattail plant. He leaned toward Matthias in boat.

France: song!

England: dear lord.

"There you see her
   Sitting there across the way
She don't got a lot to say
   But there's something about her
   And you don't know why
   But you're dying to try
You wanna kiss the girl." Arthur sang as Sunniva watched him in awe. Matthias turned his head after hearing the voice, but Arthur flung away on the cattail in time.
"Did you hear something?" Matthias asked as he looked back to her. Sunniva smiled at him and shook her head no.
"Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
   Possible she wants you too
There is one way to ask her
   It don't take a word
   Not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl." Arthur continued to sing as he talked to both Matthias and all the creatures of the pond from a lilypad. He then bent his head down into the water to talk to the fish.
"Come on," Arthur encouraged,"sing with me now." And the whole pond joined in.
"Sha la la la la la
   My oh my
Look like the boy too shy
   Ain't gonna kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la
   Ain't that sad?
   Ain't it a shame?
Too bad, he gonna miss the girl." Everyone sang as Sunniva played with her hair before looking to Matthias. When they caught each others eyes, they both leaned in. At the last moment, Matthias pulled back and counties to row. Sunniva sighed in disappointment and rested her chin in her hand as she blew at her bangs.

Everyone: Denmark!

Denmark: what!?

"You know, I feel really bad not knowing your name." Matthias said wanting to get rid of the awkwardness between them. He set down the ores and leaned back as he looked at Sunniva.
"Heh - maybe I could guess. Is it, err, Mildred?" Matthias asked and Sunniva made a disgusted face. He laughed.
"O.K., no. How 'bout - Diana? Rachel?" Matthias tried again only for Sunniva to shake her head no. Arthur popped up next to the boat at this point.
"Sunniva." Arthur hissed out. "Her name is Sunniva." Matthias blinked in confusion.
"Sunniva?" Matthias whispered to himself wondering where that one had come from. Upon seeing Sunniva's now excited smile, he bolted up straight and Sunniva leaned toward him.
"Sunniva?" He asked again this time with confidence and she nodded happily.
"Well, that's kinda pretty. O.K. - Sunniva. . ." Matthias said as he held her hands in his and they looked in each other's eyes again.
"Now's your moment
   Floating in a blue lagoon
Boy you better do it soon
   No time will be better
   She don't say a word
And she won't say a word
Until you kiss the girl." Arthur sang as two flamingos pulled the curtain of leaves of a weeping willow back and allowed the boat to enter. The fish began to swim around the boat super fast in order to make it spin.
"Sha la la la la la
   Don't be scared
   You got the mood prepared
Go on and kiss the girl." Everyone sang as Vladimir and some of the other fish were acting like fountains in the background. Matthias and Sunniva leaned in closer.
"Sha la la la la la
   Don't stop now
Don't try to hide it how
You want to kiss the girl." Alfred tried to cut in again, but three flamingos quickly grabbed his beak and kept it shut.
"Sha la la la la la
   Float along
   And listen to the song
The song say kiss the girl.
   Sha la la la la
   The music play
   Do what the music say
You got to kiss the girl
You've got to kiss the girl." As they sang, Arthur was ringing Alfred's neck.
"Go on hun!" He yelled out quickly as the two puckered up.
   "You wanna kiss the girl
   You've gotta kiss the girl
Go on and kiss the girl." Only a moment before there lips could met, the boat flipped over.

Everyone: no! They were so close!

Nyo Prussia: what can I say! The awesome me loves to ruin the moment.

Germany: *groaned in embarrassment*

Sunniva and Matthias fell into the water and many of the animals were scared off. Arthur groaned in disappointment.
"Whoa, hang on - I've gottcha." Matthias said as he helped Sunniva up. Behind the boat, Rodrich and Ludwig high fived their tails together.
"Nice work, boys. That was a close one. Too close." Julchen hissed as she watched through her crystal ball.
