"No, mom and dad. We want our baby." Joe urged making their attention turn back to them and they both took a seat on the spare armchair Demi sat in it and Joe on the arm. It forced their hands apart but they didn't mind too much. It came as a surprise to them that they were surprised that they wanted to keep their baby and be a mom and dad to their son or daughter.
"I'm sorry guys but we honestly don't see how it's going to happen." Paul stated being honest with them.
"What will you do about the baby when you're at school? How will you pay for the medical bills of Demi being in hospital and the baby? How will you pay for the baby when the time comes. Guys... we're doing this because we care about you. You're too young to be parents and go to school at the same time." Dianna expressed to them but they both shook their heads.
"I'll drop out of school if I have to but we have to make it work." Joe demanded.
"No!" Paul demanded back. "Nobody is dropping out of school." "What would we do if abortion or adoption wasn't even around for an option? We'd have to make do and raise our child." Demi urged this time.
"We don't think you've thought this through completely. How about we sit down and tally up all the money you will need and see if you're still considering keeping the baby?" Denise suggested and Joe and Demi sighed as they begun to list what they would need for the baby. They knew this conversation wasn't going to go well.
"And that isn't even including child care everyday whilst you're at school because I repeat, nobody is dropping out of school."
"We still want our baby, we'll figure something out." Joe urged again.
"Think about it, okay?" Eddie questioned them both.
"Okay, we'll think about it but we're pretty much set on having this baby." Demi demanded.
"Are we un-grounded?" Joe questioned before they could say anything else about the baby.
"No, we're going home now, you two need to think about this without having one another down your throats." Paul demanded as he got up with Denise who was packing her laptop away.
"I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow then." Joe mumbled as he got up too but Demi did giving him a hug which he hugged back in feeling her cling to him slightly.

Joe sighed as he entered the house following his parents in and he shut the door behind him but he didn't bother putting his bag up because he knew he had to get started on his homework. He'd rather be upstairs by himself than with his parents where he knew that they'd try and convince him that they shouldn't be having this baby and that adoption was the better option.
"Mom, dad, can Joe play my new game with me? Kevin is busy and it's way better multiplayer." Nick questioned and Joe looked over at them. He was desperate to do something other than read or take a really long bath because he didn't have anything better to do.
"Okay until dinner then you both need to get your homework done." Denise stated and Joe leaned up kissing her cheek.
"Thanks mom!" He exclaimed rushing into the living room before they could change their mind and he picked up the spare remote sitting next to his younger brother.
"Why were mom and dad not here when I came home?" Nick inquired. "Mom at least normally is."
"Oh we were all at Demi's. We're having a baby." Joe replied.
"Really?" Nick questioned looking at his older brother and Joe nodded his head gently the two of them keeping an eye on the screen as the game started.
"Yeah, the pill didn't work and we want to keep the baby but mom and dad are trying to convince us to give the baby up for adoption along with Demi's parents."
"You really think you can be a dad at your age though? I don't think I could if I was in your situation." Nick admitted.
"We've got to find a way," Joe shrugged his shoulders. He was getting a bit fed up at the fact nobody believed in them. That they could be parents at age fourteen. He had already looked it up at the tree house and people had done it. "We both want our son or daughter and we're not letting anyone convince us otherwise."
"Fair enough." Nick shrugged his shoulders.
"Stay away from girls Nick until you're at least eighteen, I'm in too deep now but you can still save yourself." Joe joked and Nick laughed.
"I'm only eleven Joe!" Nick exclaimed. "Girls still seem gross to me. Though I think Ava in my English class might have a crush on me."
"Don't get into it." Joe warned and Nick laughed again.
"I have no plans to." Nick assured him and they both continued to play the video game together.
But Joe''s mind was on Demi and his unborn child. He didn't want to fight to be able to keep his child but he knew he'd have to.
