Both Joe and Demi felt like running away when they got back to the Jonas' house but they knew they couldn't They had gotten one another into this mess and now they had to try and figure out how to make it better but they had doubts that they could. They were scared that this wouldn't work and they'd end up having a baby at age fourteen but as Joe read over the back of the pill box when they were on their way home, it was ninety five percent likely for it to stop any pregnancy that might have happened. It took a huge weight off both of their shoulders. Demi followed Joe back into the house and they slipped their shoes off.
"Go into the kitchen." Paul demanded and they did seeing that Denise, Dianna and Eddie were sat at the table they had in there.
"Did you get it?" Eddie questioned and Joe held up the box but he passed it to Demi as Dianna handed her a glass of water that they had ready. Joe got the pill out of the box for her and Demi didn't have to think twice about swallowing it gulping water afterwards passing the glass back.
"Sit down." Denise demanded softly and they both did Paul pulling up a chair too.
"We're going to the doctors first thing Monday morning to get you onto the pill but just because we're doing that it doesn't give you the option to do whatever you like when you want." Dianna stated.
"We'd rather you not do anything now until you're a little older." Denise added.
"You can't tell us what we can and can't do in our relationship. It's our bodies." Joe urged.
"We're not telling you to do anything, we're just requesting. We don't want another situation like this." Paul replied.
"Fine, whatever." Joe mumbled crossing his arms over his chest.
"You're grounded for two months anyway." Denise stated.
"We'll make it three for you Demi, come on. Let's go home." Dianna demanded getting up with Demi.
"Can't I stay here with Joe for a bit. Today has been really hard." Demi choked slightly.
"No, you're grounded." Eddie replied grabbing hold of her wrist gently not hurting her as he did and he lead her into the hallway following Dianna.
"I guess I'll see you at school." Joe stated as he followed. Demi yanked her hand back leaning up kissing him gently Joe kissing back before Demi was pulled away again.
"I love you." Demi breathed.
"I love you too!" He called after her sighing as they left Dianna shutting the door behind her.
"Go up to your room." He heard grumbling but he did as he was told and headed upstairs into his room. He knew his parents would be by soon and take away everything they normally did when he got grounded. Which wasn't often.
_____
Joe handed Nick a chocolate bar and Nick hesitantly handed Joe his phone and he took it quickly entering his room again. He knew Demi's number by heart holding it up against his ear waiting for her to answer. But he didn't know if her parents had taken away her phone like his did with his phone. But he was relieved when she answered.
"Hello?" She question confused by the unknown number that had been displayed.
"Hey Demi, it's me." Joe stated.
"Joe? What are you doing? You'll get into more trouble." Demi urged.
"I bribed Nick to give me his phone for five minutes with a chocolate bar. It worked. I really just needed to talk to you, see how you're doing?" Joe urged back.
"I'm okay, my parents have grounded me for three months and have taken everything away from me apart from my phone and laptop. I'm convinced your mom and my parents were sat at the table coming up with punishments whilst we were at the drugstore. They probably didn't take my phone away from me because they knew that your parents were taking yours away." Demi mumbled.
"They probably did." Joe agreed.
"What about you? How's your punishment for having sex?" Joe chuckled slightly.
"They took everything away, I only have homework and books to keep me amused. I'm to use the school's library if I need to use a computer." Joe replied.
"You're parents are harsh." Demi stated.
"Yeah but it makes me not wanna get into trouble." Joe replied and Demi sighed.
"I'm just glad there won't be a baby to worry about. We can just carry on with our lives as if it never happened. Or at least when we're no longer grounded." Demi stated.
"Yeah, we don't want to have to worry about a baby at our age," Joe stated pausing for a moment. "But kids are in my plans, are they yours?" Demi nodded her head even though he couldn't see her.
"Always have been and they always will be," Demi replied. "But let's wait until we're in our twenties."
"Sounds good to me, I gotta go but I'll see you at school on Monday, okay?"
"Yep, bye Joe. I love you."
"I love you too." He answered before they both hung up their phone. Joe sighed getting up opening his door passing Nick his phone back before he could speak and he shut the door behind him.
