Joe soon found himself in a hospital room by himself whilst he got changed and they did some tests to make sure his body was fit and ready to take in. He was weighed to make sure he got the right dose too but he was ready for everyone to be back in the room. He didn't want to be without them for too long. He was scared about what was going to be happening and for how he might be feeling by the end of the treatment. Denise entered the room first everyone else following behind her but she wandered over to the bed taking hold of his hand.

"Everything okay?" Denise inquired and Joe nodded his head gently.

"Yeah, they just took bloods to make sure everything is okay to go through with the treatment and they've weighed me to make sure I have the right dose..." Joe trailed off.

"You're gonna be fine okay Joseph? I can't imagine how scary this is for you but we're all here to help you through this. You're not gonna feel well for a while but it's all going to help in the end." Denise stated and Joe nodded his head gently.

"I-I'm just scared for the future." Joe admitted.

"Try not to think about it okay? I know it's hard but just focus on today." Joe sighed.

"Okay." He breathed looking over at Demi when she came over.

"Wilmer and I are just going to go get drinks from the canteen, do you want anything bringing back?" She inquired.

"No, I think it's best I stick with the water thanks." He replied.

"That's fine, we'll be back very soon okay?" Joe nodded his head gently watching as she left with Wilmer.

"Why did you two ever break up?" Denise inquired letting go of his hand for a moment so she could pull up a chair and she sat down taking hold of his hand again for comfort. Paul was sat on the sofa at the side of the room with Kevin and Nick, he wasn't bothered that they weren't talking to him. Them being here with enough.

"It was just with the band taking off, we never meant to lose touch with one another. But I wish we had tried harder."

"Why? You still like her?" Joe hesitated but agreed.

"She's happy with Wilmer now though so I'm happy for them. Just seeing her again made all those feelings come back. It does kind of explain how I couldn't stay in a relationship all these years."

"There's not much you can do about you're feelings but move on, like you said, she's happy with Wilmer so you have to respect that."

"I know." Joe breathed.

_____________

"Can we talk a minute?" Wilmer questioned stopping them both from walking into the canteen. Demi nodded her head standing in front of him but she couldn't help but be worried about the expression crossing his face.

"This is so hard to do," Wilmer breathed. "I'm breaking up with you."

"What? Why?" Demi demanded to know going to grab his hands but he pulled them away.

"Because you still love Joe, I can see the way you look at him and I can tell you now, he looks at you the same way. I can't come between something like that, not when you two have had so much history. We can still be friends, I don't hate you or anything." He answered quickly assuring her at the end.

"I never really thought about my feelings with Joe Wilmer because I'm with you." Demi urged.

"I know all that but I just want you to be happy and I think you could have that more with Joe. I'm okay, honestly Demi."

"I-If you're sure." Demi stammered slightly.

"It's going to take a while to get used to not being you're boyfriend anymore but I'm doing this now to avoid heartbreak in the future," He replied. "But I'm not saying you need to go back to him straight away. Take your time but I can see that you still love him." Demi cracked a small smile as she thought about it.

"I do, I still love Joe." Demi spoke and Wilmer chuckled.

"Glad I could open your eyes." He replied.

"Thank you Wilmer, you're suck a good guy." Demi demanded giving him a hug.

"I'll find someone else, I'll find someone who I'll love as much as you love Joe or he loves you. You're going to be happy with him and that's all I ever want from you." Wilmer spoke slightly in her ear and Demi pulled away looking up at him.

"Any girl would be lucky to have you and I'm honored to have had your love." She replied kissing his cheek.
