"Oh baby girl," Joe cooed slightly sitting on the bed next to her bringing her into a hug. She allowed him to embrace her crying gently feeling his lips against her head. It had been seven months since they decided that they were going to give the baby up for adoption because that was what was best for them all. Joe still wanted to try but he wouldn't be able to do it by himself so he agreed with the adoption. It was hard for him to sit there and watch Demi's belly grow, go to all the scans and see his child progressing so well. His daughter. They found out at the twenty week scan that they were having a little girl. Just like Joe wanted, but they stuck by their word and they were going to give the little girl away. To a middle aged couple who wanted to have a family but were unable to. They had looked over many files but decided on this couple because of their background, where they worked and where they lived. "You shouldn't take any notice of them."

"It's hard when it's all over my social media Joe." Demi mumbled against him.

"If I could tell them all off and give them a smacked butt then I would." Joe declared and he smiled in victory as she let out a breathless laugh. They had been experiencing a lot of bullying at school but also over social media from people around the area mainly. Demi was getting it worse than Joe was and with her hormones being all over the place as it was, it was starting to take a lot out of her.

"I just know the rest of our school lives are going to be living hell. We're always going to be reminded of the baby and how we gave her up. I just want what's best for her." Demi grumbled.

"I know but they'll never understand how hard it is for us, to go through all this and not have our baby girl at the end," Joe urged. "Especially you, you're bonding with her as we speak."

"I love her so much," Demi choked slightly. "But it's because of that which why I'm going through this adoption."

"Will and Lilly are going to make great parents too her." Joe praised and Demi sighed against his chest feeling his lips on her head again. She felt comforted by him but by her daughter as well as she felt her move around, stretch kicking her belly slightly. She only had up to two months left with her little girl. And Joe, he'd have one hold before she was taken to the people she would see as her parents.

_______________

"Thank you for coming." Will stated as he opened the door to Joe and Demi. Joe had his arm around Demi but they both greeted Will as they entered the house they had been to many times. They wanted to get to know Will and Lilly before they handed the baby over. But they would never be apart of the baby's life, they had decided to leave Will and Lilly to it. They hoped they'd mean sometime down the line but it's all they could hope. They wanted to get back to their lives when the baby girl was born and she was here.

"It's okay, what's up?" Joe questioned helping Demi into the house.

"We finished the nursery today and we thought you'd want to have a look. We're having dinner tonight too, our treat." Lilly explained and both Joe and Will started to help Demi up the stairs. She was taking it one step at a time being careful since she couldn't see where the next step was.

"We decided not to go for traditional pink." Will grinned slightly and they couldn't help but smile. They always imagined doing the same, not having colours that were expected but colours that they liked. They were only fourteen still but they had planned out their future together. They entered the nursery, smiles plastered on their faces as they looked around. They helped Demi sit down as she looked around trying to picture every bit in her mind so she knew where her baby girl was going to grow up.

"I love it." Demi breathed looking at the crib. She could just imagine her daughter laid there sleeping. Being well cared for. She wished she could do it all but she knew she couldn't and she wanted what was best for her daughter too.

"I do too, I'm sure she will too when she arrives." Joe praised.

"She also has a name too now, if you want to know." Will announced wanting them to be the first to know before they told anyone else.

"Of course." Demi urged.

"Gracie." Lilly announced and both Joe and Demi smiled at the sound. Their daughter was now named but not by them. They wished they could but they liked the name. That was enough for them. Gracie was going to be so loved. They'd remember her as they continued their lives.

Without Gracie.
