"You really think you want to keep the baby?" Joe questioned as he looked at the picture in his hands. He found it amazing that this baby was his even if he was just a kid himself. He knew he would never understand how hard it was going to be until the baby was here but he wanted to give it a go with Demi. For them to try and be parents. Even if it was so they could say they tried.

"Yeah, I want to try," Demi replied taking a bite out of her sandwich. "I don't know if my parents would agree though."

"Or mine." Joe mumbled.

"We can't hide up here forever though." Demi stated.

"I know but it's been a while since we spent some proper time together without it being at school so I thought we'd take the opportunity whilst our parents think we're at school." Joe answered.

"So we'll just roll up at half three as if we've been at school?" Demi giggled and Joe nodded his head.

"Exactly," He replied smiling down at the picture. "Boy or girl?"

"I've always wanted at least one of each so it doesn't really matter to me which way around I do it." Demi shrugged her shoulders taking another bite out of her sandwich.

"I'm kind of swaying towards a girl." Joe confessed and Demi couldn't help but smile at him.

"Really?" She questioned and Joe rolled his eyes playfully.

"Not all guys want boys you know?" He replied. "I don't know, I just like the idea of having a little princess, she'll be a daddy's girl." He grinned and Demi smiled.

"So it has nothing to do with the fact you promise your mom that you would give her a girl?" Demi teased and Joe blushed slightly making her laugh covering her mouth with her hand.

"Oh shut up!" He demanded. "Bully."

"I think it's cute." She replied leaning up kissing his cheek.

"Yeah, yeah," Joe grumbled. "But I don't think it matters what gender this baby is, mom and dad aren't going to be happy."

"I know but they'll have to live with it." Demi shrugged her shoulders and Joe cracked a small smile. But they were both nervous to tell their parents about the baby.

_____________

Joe and Demi were wandering down the street hand in hand Joe carrying both their bags like he normally did and they were heading in the direction of Demi's house. They both got nervous when Demi got a text from her mom asking if they could both come over after school, they were wondering whether the school nurse had called them and told them about the baby.

"You definitely want this baby right?" Joe questioned and Demi nodded her head laying her spare hand on her flat stomach.

"Yes, I can't imagine not bringing our baby home for ourselves," Demi breathed. "I know this is going to be hard, maybe not how hard it will really be but I know it will be hard but we can find a way. Even if I have to get a job. I want to be a mom."

"Good because I'm gonna fight for us, all three of us. I want to be a dad too and if they try and suggest that we abort the baby or give it up then they're gonna get an ear full from me." Joe demanded and Demi smiled squeezing his hand.

"My night and shining armor." Demi teased and he smiled kissing her gently Demi kissing him back before they pulled away from one another.

"I love you!" Joe declared and Demi giggled.

"I love you too Joseph." She answered.

"You need to say it louder, not everyone heard you." Joe stated and Demi laughed shoving him slightly making him laugh.

Joe and Demi gulped slightly when they entered the living room within Demi's house. Their eyes landed straight onto the coffee table where Demi's pregnancy test was. It was clear her mom or dad had found it in the trash and contacted Denise and Paul.

"Mom, dad." Demi breathed.

"Is it true?" Dianna questioned and Demi hesitated but nodded her head feeling Joe squeeze her hand tighter.

"Yeah, we told the school nurse and she took us to the hospital. A blood test confirmed it. I'm five weeks along and the baby looks healthy for it's size." Demi explained to them all.

"Do you think abortion is an option?" Eddie questioned this time.

"No," Demi spoke quickly. "I could never do something like that."

"Then we better be looking at adoption options," Denise declared grabbing her laptop from the table. "I have already been having a look."
