"Take care when you're at school, okay?" his parents inquired, kissing the top of Soraru's head. "Of course," the boy smiles, nodding slightly. "I love you guys!" He called, before he made his way to the elevator, and his smile dropped. It is the first day of the week, and everyone is returning to university after their semester break. Honestly, Soraru doesn't know how to feel. His boyfriend had just broke off with him recently, under the excuse of "It has always been a joke, it was a dare to date you. It's fun, though." And Soraru wants to vomit, at the thought of meeting the man again after two weeks of crying in his room.
Soraru walked to his class after he managed to find a parking in the congested parking lot, playing with his sleeves. "Sorarun, are you okay?" Suzumu asked, patting Soraru on the back. "No," was the reply as the younger tilted his head to look at Suzumu in the eyes. "I'm kidding," Soraru forces a smile as he looked at Suzumu's worried face. "You worry too much, sometimes," he continues, and Suzumu smacked him lightly on the back. "I am trying to be a really good friend!" He exclaimed, and Soraru just laughed.
They made their way to their class. Soraru is in his first year, as a psychology major, while Suzumu is taking music. He walked into class, and slid into the seat next to Lon, his hand brushing against hers like every other day. "Hey!" The blonde smiled widely at him, and Soraru grins back. "How's your holiday?" She asked, and his urge to vomit returned. "Fine," he lied through his teeth, a smile working its way onto his face.
Lon smiles happily, "i see! It's kinda boring for me, though," She replies, taking out her books as Soraru watched her silently, speechless. He had thought that he is getting worse at lying, but the blonde buys it so easily, and he couldn't really believed what happened at first. He blinked at her actions, before she glances at him. "Well?" She prompted, and he dropped his eyes to the table. "Nothing," he mumbled, picking up his pen and resting his head on his palm. Are we really childhood friends? Or is she naive?
Soraru breathed out a sigh, proceeding to draw doodles while making small chats with Lon. "I heard that you broke up with him." After a few minutes, she broke the bubble, staring at him with concern. "Are you fine?" She asked, and Soraru wants to cry. His mask is slowly breaking into pieces, exposing his true, weak self, and he couldn't let it happen. Instead, he pasted on a small smile, turning to look at Lon. "I'm fine, really," he replies, and Lon sighed. "You know you can tell me anything, right?" She asked again, as if to make sure, as Soraru checked his smile, making sure that it doesn't slip from his face as he replied with a soft "yeah."
I don't think I can, actually.
First update.
