Chapter 2

~Josh's POV

From the first day I met Jen, I was just so happy, and a special kind of friendship formed. It was more special than my friendship with Jo. It was unique. It was like she was the perfect best friend.

Who am I kidding? I don't want my bad memories coming back. I've had girl friends before, but they all went away from me when they suddenly had their own boyfriends. Jo was the only one left, then came Jennifer.

But I couldn't help it. I called her up tonight.

"Hello?"

"Jen? Is that you?"

"Yes, who is it?"

"It's me, Josh."

"How did you get my number? You're stalking me, aren't you?"

"No, I mean, I wanted to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"What club are you going to join in?"

"I was thinking about drama club, but my parents wouldn't allow me to stay late at school, and then they suggested the cheerleading team, and I'm going to try that. How about you?"

"I'm going to join the school basketball team. It's my favorite sport anyway."

"So you're an athlete?"

"Yeah, you can say that. And that you are a good dancer."

"Shut up! That's not even true anyway."

"Okay. See you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, see you tomorrow."

"Okay, bye."

I ended the call immediately. I admit, I was a bit nervous talking to Jen, but then I was able to shake it off.

~Jennifer's POV

He called me. I didn't even know how he got my number. I was sure that I didn't give it to him. Anyways, I didn't expect him to call. But after the call, I felt like I was riding with the clouds. He called me, and I was really happy about that.

Could this be a......?

No, it's just a first impression.

Then I realized, I have to know more about him.

I badly need to.

JEN: Josh, can I have Jo's number? Want 2 tell her something.

I waited for a reply.

JOSH: Oh, it's (censored because it could be the same to anyone).

JEN: Thanks a lot! :)

After our little chat, I texted Jo.

JEN: Jo, we need to talk.

~Josephine's POV

I was surprised that Jennifer had my number, but I didn't mind how she got it. I decided to reply to her text.

JO: Yeah, what's up?

JEN: How long have you been friends with Josh?

JO: Ever since my cousin Ellie introduced me to him.

JEN: Do you know when his birthday is?

JO: October 12. Why?

JEN: Wanted to surprise him. Do you know what food he likes?

JO: He likes his own food. He's a really good cook.

JEN: Oh, then do you know what his favorite color is?
