~Josh's POV

So, during the summer, I got to talk to Jen. She said that she received my voicemail, and that she thought it was really sweet. I was happy that she was able to make time to talk, because with a girl who has an extraordinary talent in acting, I'm sure that she'll be doing a lot of projects. During her birthday, she wasn't able to come home, and I had no choice but to send her another voicemail. Surprisingly, she replied immediately and told me that we should talk. When I saw her on my computer screen, I could see that she's on a couch, with her script by her side.

"I think my role's good, I'm just not sure if I could act that good, especially when it's kiss scene time." She tells me as she goes through her lines for one more time.

"Come on, how about the play? You did great!" I tell her encouragingly.

"I wasn't acting there." She tells me with a shy smile.

"Of course you aren't. I mean, the kiss afterwards?" We both chuckled at the same time.

"Well, yeah, it was perfect." She tells me with a smile and a wink.

"If only I could teleport now....I'd kiss you as long as I can." She tells me, being a little sad.

"I'd do the same." I tell her with a slight smile.

"Jen, 1 minute! You're up!" A woman tells her.

"I'll be there in a second!" She tells her outside the door.

"I'm sorry, I need to go now." She tells me with a frown.

"It's okay. Have a great time. I love you." I tell her with a smile. She looks down on the floor and lets out a chuckle.

"I love you too." She tells me with a smile.

I was able to see her during that time, and it made me happy. Everyday, I would search for her name on the internet. She doesn't have that much pictures yet, but she's known for her upcoming movie that she's filming right now.

"Josh, hurry up! We're going to be late!" Jo shouts behind my door. For some reason, she's beyond excited to go to school. It could be because of her boyfriend, or it could be because it's the final year. Hooray - we're graduating. I almost couldn't believe it either. I'm not even excited, honestly. Like, what's to wait? There's no Jen by my side.

"Why are you even excited?" I ask her when I opened my door.

"Do you think I'm excited?" She tells me with a straight face. Well, I stand corrected.

"Come on, let's go." I tell her as I grabbed my bag and went out of the room.

Of course, as usual, Jo and I went to school together. When we went out of the car, nope, things aren't the same. This time, we weren't waiting for anyone. When Jo and I closed the doors, nope, there was no Jennifer waiting to hug us on the first day of school. I put my things on the hood of the car and waited for Jennifer as if she was still here. Jo went by my side and patted my shoulder.

"It's alright. Anyway, she's still there, deep down in your heart, waiting for a hug." She tells me like Jen just died or something. I didn't say anything and simply got my things and headed for the school building.

Entering the school building the way I'm never used to seemed to break my heart a bit. There were people who were waving hi, and I did my best to wave back. Well, I must've thought that it's the first day of school. Why? Because just like Jen, I accidentally bumped on a girl - again. Only this time, she wasn't blonde. She was brunette, and apparently, she looked like my age but I haven't seen her before.

"I'm sorry, I'm a bit clumsy and..." I tell her as I help her pick up her things. I looked at her face, and I didn't really recognize her.

"I'm Claudia." She tells me with an accent.

"I'm Josh." I tell her as I give her a handshake.

"Do you know where the room is? I'm supposed to be here after the bell rings." Well, okay, her English wasn't perfect, and she looked Spanish, so I'm guessing that she's an exchange student.

"Oh, it's right over there." I tell her as I pointed to the room she was talking about.

"Gracias. I mean, thank you, so much." She tells me, slightly nervous, but still with her cute accent. She leaves awkwardly, and I didn't even remember that Jo's just behind me.

"Who was that?" She asks me.

"Exchange student, I guess."

"Hmm...seems interesting." She tells me with her normal face. She went ahead to her class and so did I.

~Josephine's POV

//Met a girl named Claudia today. She seems nice, but she also seems shy. I don't know....Just tell me when you want to talk, Jen. I'm always available, well, except for school times. I miss you, Jen. Josh misses you. Hoping to hear from you soon  :)

My phone isn't working, so I sent Jennifer an email. The only thing I'm not even sure is that if she's going to be able to read it. A week before school starts, she keeps taking to us for five minutes because that's basically the time allotted for us to talk. Well, she's busy, I mean, it's Hollywood. For talented actresses like her, surely, she'll be really busy soon. Just like us, when we go to college. Only, she'll be busier than us.

Having to go to school without Jennifer seemed to be a big problem for me. I'm used to texting her every night, and now, I'm not even sure if I could still do that. Instead, I sat on my bed, thought of the future, and did things besides homework to keep me busy.

Well, for starters, having a best friend who's on another part of the world is almost like a long distance relationship. You're not sure if she's going to wake up at any moment now. The whole world slows down. You check your phone every second to see if she's awake. You still want to be a part of her life. You want to be remembered as the shoulder she cried on every night, as the one who gives useful advice, and everything just seemed useless to you. All I have to say, is that when things to me are already difficult, I'm pretty sure that another guy's taking it worse.

~oOo~

During the lunch break, Claudia would sit with us. According to her, we are the only people she knows at the moment. She's too shy to know everyone else, so she's stuck with us. She thinks that she could be our new best friend. Well, I didn't seem to bother, since she was nice, and she seemed to be as innocent as a wandering puppy. She even introduced us to new things. Being with her made things lighter. She was the one who partly filled the hole in Josh's heart, and she was my new friend.

I just hope it would stay that way.

~Jennifer's POV

"Cut!" The director finally told us.

It is now around 9 PM before we wrapped up the scene we were filming. I was really exhausted and was happy when they finally said that it's a wrap for the day. I went to the refreshments bar and got myself a few mints, and my manager finally called me so we could go home. I couldn't wait, since I'm really tired at the moment.

"You need some rest, Jen. You have a lot to do tomorrow." My manager tells me as soon as we're on the way home. I simply nodded my head because I didn't have the energy to say yes. When we were finally home, I immediately went to my bedroom and went to sleep as soon as I touch the soft cloth. I couldn't help it. I was so tired.

The dream I had wasn't as tired as I seemed, though. I was running. Running really fast, not knowing where I want to go. I try my best not to let anyone see my underwear when the skirt part of my peach dress flies with the wind. Unknowingly, I look at the watch I'm wearing. 5:59. I ran faster and faster. My body wasn't working with me. I was telling it to stop, but my dream seemed to control what I was doing. When I finally slowed down, I particularly saw a guy in a suit. He was about to turn around when I woke up to my alarm. Again, I have to start my days early.

After bathing, I looked at my phone. I had one email. It was from Jo.

So...Claudia...eh?
