~Jennifer's POV
While we were on our way to the restaurant, I immediately asked him where we were going.
"We are going here." He pointed at the name of the restaurant and then pointed the theater.
"Really?" I ask him as if I couldn't believe it.
"Yeah. And then we'll go see a movie afterwards."
"Josh, wow, I couldn't..."
"Thank me?"
"Well, yeah, exactly. Thank you." I wanted to tell him that this was my last year of being with him, but I didn't want to spoil this day.
"Well, don't thank me. Seriously. It's alright."
No, it isn't Josh, especially if I'm being weak.
When we were at the restaurant, the waiter handed us the menu. He simply ordered a turkey sandwich, and I ordered chicken fried rice. We talked about random little things, played small games, acted like twelve year olds, but most of all, looked out for stalkers. Who knows? Maybe somebody's watching us.
We went to the theater where we watched a rom-com. It was really sweet, I can tell, but I got really guilty when the girl confesses a big secret to the guy. She tells him that she loves him, but she has to go. And when she said that, Josh took the courage to hold my hand. I held his hand back, and watching the movie has never been that romantic. With him holding my hand, I could calm down, like sitting down the stars with him, feeling happy, like all the problems in the world disappeared, almost like the sun rising and telling me to be carefree.
When he took me home, I couldn't gather the courage to tell him the secret.
"So, I guess this is goodnight." He tells me.
"Goodnight." I tell him back.
Josh was about to enter his car when I stopped him.
"Josh, wait!" I tell him. I went near him and said:
"Thank you for this night. I'll never forget it. I just wish that we could be like this forever." I told him before I kiss him on the lips.
"You're welcome." He tells me.
I went inside the house as if I haven't been there yet. My mind was a total mess unlike the neat living room. I didn't know how to tell Josh and Jo that I will be with them full-time in just less than a year. I have to leave them to do what I really love.
I tossed and turned in my bed, thinking how our lives will change if I became an actress. Sure, we would stay friends, but not as close as ever.
I couldn't think straight. I didn't know what to do.
~Josephine's POV
I hear a car engine turning off as I put down the novel I'm reading. When I looked outside my window, I see Josh, smiling happily, and maybe he's excited to tell me about his day.
"So, how did it go?" I tell him as soon as he entered my room.
"It was awesome, Jo. I didn't expect her to kiss me at the end."
"Lips?" I asked him. He simply nodded.
"Congratulations! I'm totally going to ship you two." I tell him.
"Save it for the end." He tells me with a wink.
When monday came, Josh and Jen were in their usual selves, and the only thing that surprised us is that Jen's parents were there to pick her up, and my mom called me to talk to Josh. What happened that afternoon was highly unusual, and when Josh and I went home, my mom confronted him.
