~Josephine's POV

The first day of being a sophomore was a bit harder than we were used to. Now that Jen has Nick, they walked along the corridors together, and everyone thinks that they are a couple, but I suspect that Jen treats Nick as a friend, but Nick treats her as if she said yes.

Josh and I stayed as close as possible. Also, he stopped wearing glasses. We saw the sectioning, and Josh and I are classmates, but Jen is in another section and classmates with Nick. I felt guilty for Josh all summer because he thinks that Jen doesn't like him back, when in fact, she does. Okay, I know what you're thinking - why is she with Nick if she likes Josh? See, Jen doesn't think that Josh likes her back because of the kiss.

So hurrah, I'm a bad friend. Even though I badly want to tell Jen and Josh that they like each other, I can't, because I promised them that I won't tell anything.

Anyways, Josh and I decided to think about what club are we going to be in. He said he wants to be in the Drama club, and he recommended me to our Music club. It was really weird because when classes started, our teacher immediately arranged our seats. I was lucky to still sit with Josh, since he's the only guy I trust in this class.

After class, we were heading toward the school bus, we saw Jen with Nick - again. Nick's trying to be a real gentleman to Jennifer ever since he knew that Jen likes Josh because he's all that. So everyday, we could see Nick being Jen's personal chauffeur by taking her home from school every dismissal. I have to say, when Jen gets to his car, it's like he's also pulling me away from her.

"Wait, you're getting you're licence soon, right?" I tell Josh.

"I can't take the test unless I'm sixteen."

"On the bright side, you're turning sixteen next month, aren't you?"

"What do you want?"

"Nothing. Just giving hints." I tell him while pointing at Jen and Nick.

"Not happening." He tells me after Jen gets in the car, and he looks away in irritation.

Oh Josh, you're obviously getting jealous.

One week later, we were once again gathered to go to our clubs, and Josh really went into the drama club. When the drama club adviser asked me where I will go, I told her that I'm not sure yet, so she let me in and tells me that since I'm good in music, I can do scoring. I sat beside Josh, who is seated way far from Jen and Nick, who has the "protective arm" around her.

"What are you doing here?" Josh asks me.

"Scoring the future play." I tell him.

He doesn't know that Jen is part of the drama club until Nick nominates her as muse.

"What is she doing here?" Josh whispers to me.

"What? She wants to be in the drama club, so I guess that's why she's here."

The election ended, and Jennifer won as muse. When nominations for escort are open, Nick nominates himself. Ugh, I thought, someone deserves it better.

"I nominate Josh Hutcherson!" I immediately stand up when the club adviser called my name.

"What did you do?" Josh tells me.

"Instinct." I tell him cheerfully.

When the voting opened, a lot of people abstained, and Josh and Nick got equal votes. And since this is drama club, the tiebreaker is - chemistry with the muse.

Nick and Jen went first. Everyone believed it, and everyone got their own nods. I was there thinking of one word. Good, but is it believable?

Josh and Jen went next. They agreed to do a romantic scene but they would still use their own names. Josh was being his usual self, charming and suave, and Jen was also herself. But then I realized, these two aren't acting, they're telling the truth, as shown by  this part:
