Chapter 9, Slifer dorm...

*Yami's POV*

His duel finally ended and I was on the edge of my seat for him. He even used the card I gave him, I didn't think he would. "Yey! I'm so happy for him! Does that mean he can be in the school Joey?" Serenity asked and hugged him. She was rooting for him as well. Joey just shock his head as he didn't know. But he should of known...

"Yes Serenity. This exam and the written exam that they had was to determine what dorm they are in," Seto answered and Joey looked up at him annoyed. We watched as Jaden was called away and the exams came to a end. "Come on everyone, Shepard is paging us."

We got up and left the arena and headed back to his office. Once we got in he had a massive smile on his face and was looking up at us. "Did you enjoy seeing the new students? What I want you all to do is to split up and look around the school grounds for today and tomorrow you will start teaching. I'll show you the teaching scheme but for now have some fun!"

"But! Chancellor Shepard wouldn't it be better if we just started as the new students will be in class!?" Seto yelled but Shepard just shock his head. "ugh fine...come on..." We just left the room and separated into pairs.  Bakura and Marik, Seto and Joey, Duke and Serenity, Mai and Tea and Yugi and me.

Yugi decided that he wanted to go to the red dorm first and work our way up. "I think that the dorm is called Slifer Red huh? I find that funny," Yugi said as he picked up his pace. We found our way next to the pier and Yugi stopped in his tracks. He started to back away and bumped into me. 

"L-Let's go another way..." I said and grabbed his hand, pulling him away. No matter where we go, if there's water he always breaks down and can't speak. It still affects him...after all these years. I had to drag him half way through the forest until he stopped shaking. But something that always calms him down is... "Yugi come here,"

I held my arms open and he just looked at me. I could see that his eyes had started to water but he jumped into me, breaking down afterwords.  He just cried his heart out and all I could do was rub his back and hold him. We ended up on the ground but we didn't let go of each other.  He still wakes up from nightmares...saying that everyone around him was dead and even that I was left last alive just for him to kill...

The sun started to go down as the sky turned orange, only then Yugi had calmed down. "Do you still wanna go on or we could head back for the day?" I asked and he shook his head. I don't want him to keep going, I just want him to go back to the hotel and sit down. 

"T-T-There would be no point to coming out here then...I-I'll be fine so l-let's continue..." he mumbled and went to get up but stumbled back down. I caught him and stabled him but I also got up.

"Don't push yourself you hear me. We'll take it slow but if you even start to feel weak then you tell me straight away. Understand?" I said and he slowly nodded his head. Letting go of him, he started to walk a little and I easily got next to him. Slowly but surely we got to the dorm and it looked like a normal school dorm. Entering the lunch hall no one was in but I saw some vending machines. "Wait here a minute."

*Yugi's POV*

Yami ran off to the machine and looked like he was getting something. My whole head hurts and I still feel shaken, but I can't burden Yami more then I already have... Just being beside the water...it terrifies me....I can never forget the past events and also the things I could of caused. If Yami hadn't of been there... No if he never came back into my life. I wouldn't of seen myself getting this far.

"Hey it's you again!" I heard and looked up to see who it was. A boy, with brown hair was in front of me with a massive smile. Who is this? "Man I can't thank you enough for the card you gave me, it really helped me win that duel. Wait did you see me?"

"I'm...sorry but do I know you?" I asked and he just started to laugh.

"Sorry I took so long Yugi. Hey it's you," Yami said as he came close. The other boy turned around to face him and he was so confused. "I guess this would be rather confusing. See this is Yugi and I'm Yami, we look really alike but don't mind that."

"Ahaha now I see it, Hey Yugi I'm Jaden Yuki and I bumped into Yami on my way here," Jaden said and started to laugh again. He reminds me of what I used to be like. Also Yami didn't mention that he had already met this guy... "Anyway I'm in Slifer Red cause I screwed up my written exam."

"That's sad to hear, hey  the important thing is that you made it in right?" Yami asked and Jaden nodded. 

"Yami...can we get going now?" I asked and the room went silent. Yami agreed to leave with me but after saying goodbye to Jaden.  We left the dorm and started to head back to the hotel as we didn't have any time to see the other dorms. My head is splitting....

"Hey Yugi are you alright? Your looking a little pale?" Yami asked but I didn't answer him. First it was Pegasus and now he is getting really friendly with someone he just met? Ughhh this is just hurting my head even more. "Hello? Earth to Yugi???? Yugi!"

"Don't yell at me! I just wanna get back and go to bed," I said and walked faster. Thinking that Yami had stopped I turned around a little to see him and what happened next surprised me...

HAHAHHAHA I'm starting with the cliffhangers early! So in this one we see that Yugi has been struggling with the events of the last book. I wonder what will happen to him and how Yami will help him. Also we are seeing a bit of jealous Yugi...I wonder when Yami will notice?
