Chapter 26, Following Heba...

*Yugi's POV*

Since I was with Heba when I got here it might be best to go after him seeing how he was still in my line of sight. "Heba slow down I'm right behind you!" I yelled hoping he'd slow down but he didn't. We kept this cat and dog game until we reached the a of the park.

"I-I-I can feel one of them....they're suffering Yugi. We need to help them!" he cried and looked round like a lost puppy. I had a look ahead. Four different paths and if we went down the wrong one then who ever needs our could get worse. "Down there!"

He point to the far right path and we both took off sprinting. The sides of the path were clear at first but soon lead a more forest area. Heba finally slowed down letting me take a walking pace. He kept coming closer and closer to me until he had a hold of my arm. "You don't like the forest Heba?"

"No not really, I got lost in them when I was a kid and some man chased me. I found a cave and hid in it until he left me. I manged to find the road and kept running until a car driving past stopped and took me home," he said and hugged my arm. I didn't mind as it was calming him down.

"I can't really say I've had anything like that in my past, I guess I had bullies but ehe...Yami helped me with them," I said and let out a nervous laugh. That was when I wasn't aware that Yami was in the puzzle, I don't even know what happened. Even when we weren't really friends he would be looking out for me, all the more reason to hug him when I find him.

The clearing or the forest took us to a big grassy filed. "Heba is anyone here?" I asked and he took a look round. He then put his head to his hands again and leaned on me for support.

"Y-Yeah I can't tell who though. We need to keep walking until we find them," he said and we both pressed forward. We ended up having one arm each around the others shoulders for support, but mainly for me it was for fun.

"So how can you do this anyway? Like can you sense energy or something like that?" I asked trying to make conversation.

"Yeah it's the dark energy in a person I can sense. I don't really have an explanation for this, even the gods don't know. They just say that it's a gift I should be proud of. Which I am," he said and looked to me with a smile. I turned my attention back to the road and saw someone lying on the ground. "Hey that's Atemu!!"

We both sprinted to him and I tried to pick him up but he just swatted me away. "Yugi step back!" I heard and was dragged up by someone. I could see Heba in front of me so the person was Yami! "Something is going on with him."

Atemu just got to his feet and kept his head burred into his hands and stumbled a lot. "Pharaoh don't give in! You have to fight it!" Heba yelled and grabbed his arms. Atemu didn't smack him away, he punched him straight in the face and kept stumbling everywhere.

"Leave me alone, leave me alone leave me alone!!! MY mind is my own and not for you to control!!" he yelled and rammed himself on a tree. Leaves came down from it as he kept smashing against it. "I won't kill him I WON'T!"

"Atemu you need to listen to me!" I yelled and got out of Yami's grip. I latched myself on him and made sure he couldn't move his arms. "Atemu your not a killer and your not one to lose to a spirit!! Your stronger then that so prove yourself!!"

He kept screaming and got one arm lose and started to jab my side. It was getting to the point I couldn't keep a hold of him but I kept my grip. "Please Atemu! Do it for Egypt! Do it for me! DO IT FOR HEBA!!!" I yelled and my last words got through to him as he stopped all movement. His arms dropped and he could barley stand. Heba came and grabbed him off me while Yami wanted to see if I was alright.

"We need to get him professional help. We can't do anything for him now," I said and had to lean on Yami as I was going light headed. "Yami call an ambulance because there's no way we can drag him out of here."

He called them up after setting me next to a tree and Heba sat Atemu to the next tree." Yugi why did you take that beating from him? I was planning on doing that," he said and took a seat next to me.

"Well I'd rather it me then I sitting down and watch it happen to one of my friends," I said and let out a little laugh. Yami just looked down at the both of us with a sigh and back to Atemu. A few short minutes afterwords we could hear the sirens coming closer to us making the weight of our shoulders a little. "Is that them coming Yugi?"

"Yeah it is, I'll go meet them you two stay here," I said and went to get up but lost the balance in my feet and fell to the ground. Yami grabbed my arm and lighten the fall a little but it still hurt.

"I'll go, Heba yell if anything happens," Yami said and took off running.

Hope this choice thing is not too bad. Yoy get the same ending but how Yugi gets there is up to you.
