Chapter 37, Trying to talk...

*No one's POV*

Yugi's mind was racing a mile a minute on trying to think of plan. Heba had told him of what happened while he was kidnapped, how Atemu was convinced he was Yugi.

"We both need to show ourselves," Yugi whispered and Heba shook his head holding Yugi's shirt. "If we do it's better than him finding and hurting one of us."

As much as Heba tried to say no, he stood up with Yugi as he saw Atemu holding a pipe. The exact same pipe that was in his shoulder, which meant that blood was now leaking out fast. As soon as the crazed maniac saw they, he dropped the pipe and squealed running over. 

"Two Yugis!!! The gods do listen to me!!!" Atemu screamed out and Yugi began to fear for their lives. He tried to jump on them hug them but Yugi pushed Heba to the side so it was only him in his hold. "Ah. You smell so nice. I can smell you for days bun bun~~"

"Atemu snap the hell out of it," Yugi growled as he moved Atemu forward to see his face. The man looked confused for some reason. "Are you, the new Pharaoh really gonna let some weak spirit take over him because of feeling for someone."

Atemu never spoke, apart from running his hand up and down Yugi's arm. 

"Your...not my Yugi...."he mumbled and looked back. His eyes lit up and tried to move to Heba but Yugi didn't let him.  "I-I wanna hold you... make sure you're ok..."

Heba didn't want to, but seeing as Atemu was close to crying he had to move over and hold out his hand to Atemu who grabbed it and sighed. Yugi felt a shift in the air, the darkness around Atemu was going a lighter shade. 

Where they getting through to him?

Meanwhile....outside the warehouse....

"He could hurting them!!! O-Or starving them!! What if he's injecting something into them!?!? We need to get in!!" Yami screamed as he kicked and punched at the force filed. He ended up on his knees as he was crying with worry.

Joey went on the ground with him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, you shouldn't tire yourself out," he said as Yami looked up. "Ra you look awful crying, anyway. Remember, Yuge has been through a lot and he's a tough cookie now. He also has something to fight for in there. So trust him a little."

It wasn't Yugi he didn't trust, it was Atemu. 

He sighed as he wiped his eyes and stood up. Walking around he tried to find some other way to get in. Maybe there was a weaker part of the wall, maybe he could go from under and swim in the water. Maybe he could-

"The barrier has started to slither down," Joey said as he put his hand through. Yami tried to jump in, but since it was not thin enough for him to jump through he smacked his head against it and fell back. "Might be for the best...."

"Yugi!!! Keep weakening him!! I'll get in soon!!" Yami screamed as he tried to punch the wall again. Seto had had enough of it and grabbed his wrist, making him punch himself.

And now back with the three on the inside....

It was a game of jumping back and fourth. Atemu's normal spirit would come through and other times the evil spirit would be there glued to Heba's arm thinking he was Yugi. 

"W-Wait I just thought. Why the hell did you take the pole out!?!" Heba screamed as he forced Atemu's shirt down and saw how much blood had covered his shirt. "We need to cover this now before you die from blood loss."

"All humans die at one point. Right?" Atemu said. The real Atemu. "So what difference do it make if I die today?"

Heba was trying not to cry, but he broke and hugged Atemu. 

"It matters because I love you," Heba said as Atemu wrapped his arms around him. 

"What about Yami? Are-Aren't you two gonna marry one day?" Atemu asked sadly as Heba had to think while looking at Yugi.

In the mean time Yugi was thinking of a way to break that spirit from Atemu before he lost his will. He is trying so hard to fight that demon, and Yugi didn't know if he could take it seeing another friend be consumed by the darkness.

It seemed as though he was doing it well himself, as the darkness was barley visible. Yugi heard footsteps enter the warehouse and stood up, Atemu hearing it as well and stood up holding Heba close to him. And the mist started to thicken again. 

"Yugi!! Heba!!! Where are you two!?!" Yami screamed out and Atemu was getting more mad. Yugi stepped over to him and placed a hand on him to try and calm him down. 

Eventually Yami and the others all came into view, and the mist around Atemu was now back to it's original black colour. The taller male almost cried when he saw his Yugi unharmed, but his face changed when he saw Heba in both arms of Atemu. 

Atemu ended up grabbing Yugi in his arms and  started to cackle.

"YoU WiLl NeVeR ToUcH ThEm AgAiN!!" he screamed in and out of his normal voice as the mist around him started to cover the three. Yami wasn't going to stand aside as he charged at them before the black circle had finished, taking all four of them to a place that wasn't earth.

All four of them had went to the shadow realm. 

The fight inside Atemu head continues as the four of them are now in a worse place. Can the three strip the demon from Atemu's body? Or has the shadow realm claimed not only the new Pharaoh in the after life, and a dear friend.
