Chapter 36, They pair up...

*No one's POV*

Nothing could explain how he was feeling. Sitting in front of his friends again after he got kidnapped wasn't something Heba would ever see happening to him. He didn't have the time on his hand though, he knew he had to be quick otherwise his love might not make it.

"Listen, I don't have the time to sit here. Can we please get going?" Heba asked legs bouncing up and down. 

Yugi look to his partner, not gaining any sort of signal from him. "Where do you need to go?" Yami asked while cracking open a can. "You just got here. And now you need to run off again? What about Atemu, how did you escape?"

Heba couldn't find the words. His words were caught in the back of his throat. 

"T-That's not important...I just really need your help..." Heba mumbled and got off his seat. He went to the ground and sat on his knees, bowing to the two. "Please, I'm begging yous. I don't have anyone else to turn to."

Yami was standing against the wall with his arms folded. He didn't like the feeling he had with this. "Aibou, a word in the other room?" Yami asked as he pushed up off the wall and into his shared room. Yugi was not far behind him, closing the door behind. "We're not doing this, it's too dangerous."

"Are you kidding? Heba needs us, you saw his face," Yugi said getting a little upset. "We can't turn our backs on him. We have to he-"

Yami grabbed Yugi's arms and forced him against a wall, looking down into his eyes and eliminating any sort of gap between them. 

"You have been through enough...WE have been through enough," Yami mumbled and moved his leg from the side to Yugi to in between his legs. "Listen to me right now. We're. Not. Helping."

Yugi was getting mad as his fiance, on how he can be selfish right now when Heba is stuck in an weird world and they are the only ones he trusts. So, Yugi had to think of a plan, he was going to help Heba even without Yami.

Yami was going into a kiss, getting closer to Yugi until he turned his head. "I wanna go speak to Heba, take him for a walk and figure out what is wrong with him," Yugi said and wiggled out of Yami's hold. He didn't give his other half time to say anything before he ran to the living room, grabbed Heba's hand and ran with him. 

He kept running, until they were in the woods and out of breath. Yugi brought the two of them to a bench and he sat down, Heba sitting down slowly next to him. "So. Tell me what's wrong," Yugi said placing his hand onto Heba's and looking as the other refused to look at him.

Heba told him everything, how Atemu risked everything to just keep him safe and never hurt a hair on his head. How he was just confused, but now was lying in a pool of his own blood. Half way through his story and he broke into tears thinking he doesn't have much time. 

In Yugi's head however, he was planning on the nearest place to get a first aid kit and help Yami's somewhat twin.

"You still love him after all this?" Yugi asked and Heba turned his hand to link with Yugi. He nodded his head without having to think and Yugi smiled, seeing himself in the other.

"Of course, I love him with all his faults. This isn't his fault, some darkness is in him and I refuse to let him suffer," Heba said and got up. "Please. I'm really sorry but if you're not gonna help me, then please tell me how do I help him?"

Yugi got up and started to walk off, looking back and seeing Heba trot after him. 

"We're making a stop to pick up something," Yugi said as he picked up his speed with Heba sticking to him. They stopped at the school, Yugi making it really discrete as he got a first aid kit and got out before someone had the chance to question him.

Heba's face lit up with seeing the box, happy Yugi had agreed to help him.

While walking, Yugi's phone started to ring and looking at the i.d he saw it was Yami. If he picked up now, he would get yelled at and Yami would track them down forcing both of them back to the hotel. 

He let it ring out as he heard the sound of waves crushing against the land. His legs weren't feeling good, he was getting the feeling of wanting to throw up but he powered through. He wasn't going to back out.

They entered the place, Heba taking off in the direction to where he left Atemu and found he had not moved. He rushed to the front of his face and checked his pulse. It was going slow, but he was still breathing. 

Heba got up while Yugi took his place in front of him. Taking the pole out will just make him bleed to death so there wasn't much he could do there. He opened the box and moved Heba's jacket from the pipe. He wanted to make sure no more blood would come out, so he got a bandage and moved to the pipe.

"Y-Yugi?" a small whimper was heard and Yugi bolted back. Atemu was reaching out, whimpers as his body moved forward slightly. He tapped Yugi's feet and jumped a little. "Y-Yugi where's Heba!?! I-Is he ok!?! Please tell me it didn't get him!!!"

"Hey hey calm down," Yugi whispered as he got closer down to Atemu to not alert Heba who was cleaning the nearby pipes to avoid any accidents. "Atemu, are you...there?" Yugi asked as Atemu looked up. Apart from the blood on his face, his eyes were normal. He nodded his head. 

"Please....something is killing me on the inside...it-it isn't the pipe..." Atemu mumbled before reaching out. Yugi held his hand as the other tried to pull himself up but he couldn't move. "I need you to run. Take Heba and run please."

That would be impossible, Heba would never leave him. And neither would Yugi. Right now, he had control of his own body which meant he wouldn't be able to do much to either of them.

Some black some was circling his body, blood curtailing screams were coming out of Atemu as he held his chest. Heba had ran over to the the commotion, just in time for Atemu to push Yugi away from him. The mist was expanding around, just reaching Atemu's stomach and crawling up him. 

The place was starting to shake, more rusted objects falling from the roof making Yugi and Heba dance around. "HEBA!!" Atemu screamed out as the black mist had almost consumed him. "I LOVE YOU!!!"

The black mist had covered him as Yugi ran to Heba and grabbed his wrist. 

Without a word, both the boys started to run to the way they got in. A couple of people were on the outside, and Yugi saw his lover and best friends all there. "Yami!!!" Yugi screamed out making him look in. Yami took off to try and get in. 

But, a black barrier cut them off. Cutting the lovers away from each other once again. Yami was bashing on the wall, crying that he couldn't get to Yugi. 

"Yugi~~~ My precious little bun bun~~~" Yugi heard and ducked down holding Heba in his arms. Who had lost all emotion in him by now.

I want to try and get back into writing this, but I feel as though I say this every time I upload a chapter, but this time is different. I hope everyone is taking care during these hard times and hope you all stay safe!!
