"What do you think? Blue and grey, or blue and black?" Annie questioned as she held up two different options for me to choose from

"What do you think? Blue and grey, or blue and black?" Annie questioned as she held up two different options for me to choose from. I let out a sigh, eyeing the two color schemes before shrugging my shoulders. I didn't see the purpose of choosing a color scheme for a bathroom. A guest bathroom at that. I mean, only about four people would be using it and I'm sure they didn't care about the color. And if they did, they obviously needed to find a new lodging space.

"Annie, you choose." I spoke, taking a deep breath. I glanced around the empty Haverty's building. The store had already closed by the time we arrived, which was exactly what I wanted. I did not want people getting the wrong idea seeing me and some girl in a furniture store together, and the last thing I needed were pictures leaked of me and Annie. I mean, I wasn't as popping as some of the other ball players out there, but I had enough clout on my shoulders now to get me caught up.

Thankfully, Romeo, one of the managers of the store, allowed for Annie and I to come in and take a quick peek to see if we needed to buy anything.

"Colby, you're not helping. I'm trying to help you make this place look more like a home and less like a bachelor's pad." Annie complained, tossing a blue mat inside the cart I had been pushing around. "What's wrong with a bachelor's pad? That's the whole vibe I was going for." I retorted, following behind Annie as she led me to a different section of the store. "Colby, bachelor's pads are immature. You're way too rich for that. I'm thinking something a little more urban. Something that screams 'I'm rich as hell, but childish as hell' too. Kinda like Odell Beckham's place, have you ever been insi-- Nevermind." Annie spoke, waving the conversation off.

"Do you two need any help?" Romeo questioned, walking up to us. Romeo was very professional about everything, you could tell by the way he walked, talked, and dressed. His strong Italian accent did nothing but only help him look more serious. "No, we're fine. Colby here's just being a little difficult." Annie spoke, sending a smile in Romeo's direction. "No, I get it. I completely understand. Men are normally the more difficult one in relationships. Are you guys shopping for a family home? I would love to help."

"Oh no, we are not to--"

"Actually, we are! I'm letting him choose the color scheme and all those things, however. Probably a bad idea since he has no idea what he wants," Annie responded, cutting me off mid sentence. I shot her a look. Annie was really doing the most right now, and I was one hundred percent not here for it. The last thing I needed Annie to do was to come up with this fake reality in her head. Sure she was cute, but I was committed right now.

"Would you like any help choosing?" Romeo questioned. "We have a kiosk to your right where you can mix and match different colors to see which one you like better." Romeo offered, pointing in the direction of the kiosk.

"Okay, thank you! We will definitely check that out and then get back to you."

Romeo left us alone as Annie led us towards the kiosk.
