Randhir was sent to get his luggage and when he returned he was asked to shift to the room allotted to him. He had looked around for Sanyukta but the Buddha had already sent her to her room.
Such an overprotective father- Randhir mumbled as he paced restlessly in his room. The room he has been given is more like a servant's quarter and is on the extreme left side of the secluded ground floor. Randhir doesn't care which room he is to live for a week, his only concern is not getting to see his beloved wife, Sanyukta.
"How does he expect a husband to stay away from his wife especially at night, Sunki Buddha." Randhir mumbled angrily.
He sat on the bed, sighed and buried his face into his palms.
Sometime later, Randhir got up determined to meet Sanyukta. His desire to see her overpowered his fear of getting caught. He took a deep breath and sneaked out of the room.
Either her Delhi home or Mumbai home, Randhir is aware of the window that leads to Sanyukta's room. Carefully, Randhir climbed the piping leading to her room. He frowned on hearing strange sounds. He stretched little and peeped inside. His eyes widened in horror as he watched Ankit and Vidhushi making out. He felt his grip loosening and nearly fell.
"My eyes." He winced squeezing his eyes shut.
Damn! Hitler Sasurji changed Sanyukta's room.
Randhir quickly climbed down and took out his mobile phone from his back pocket. As he dialled Sanyukta's number he realized he has been blocked. Kishore has left no stone unturn to ensure they don't meet. Randhir sighed.
As he was about to leave, he noticed lights of one of the rooms on the right side of the second-floor flicker repeatedly. He wondered if it's Sanyukta giving him a signal. It is a risk and Randhir is willing to take to it. Anything to meet Sanyukta- He is determined.
Randhir noted the pipeline that will lead him to her room and carefully climbed it. As he reached the room, he felt his heart in his mouth. Before, he reached the room the window opened and Randhir nearly had a heart attack.
Sanyukta's curious face peeped out and when her gaze met Randhir's, she smiled.
She had been just as restless as Randhir was and kept continuously glancing out of her room Knowing Randhir well she knew he would try to meet her. She was just as helpless as he was and so she purposefully flickered the room lights to get his attention.
"Randhir."
"Sanyukta."
They hugged as though meeting after eternity. Well, it seemed like nothing else. They didn't want to separate but after good five minutes, they parted.
"I missed you so much," Randhir whispered pushing aside hair off her face. Sanyukta hummed closing her eyes.
Randhir hugged her again and she hugged him back, "I missed you too." She confessed and smiled as he kissed her shoulder.
Randhir and Sanyukta sat together at the edge of her bed. Randhir played with her fingers while Sanyukta had her head resting on his shoulder, her eyes closed. There is a serene silence between them.
"Randhir? I hope we don't mess up." Sanyukta expressed her concern
"We won't," Randhir assured her, he patted their overlapping palms and Sanyukta relaxed.
"I didn't know, Papa will do so much drama." Sanyukta said bitterly.
"After whatever I did in the past, you can't blame him." Randhir confessed honestly. Sanyukta shifted and watched him amusedly. Randhir tilted his head and looked at her. Sanyukta is surprised Randhir is taking her father's side. But in a way, he is right. Kishore is just looking after his daughter.
"But he should trust me." Sanyukta added as an afterthought. Randhir held her shoulder and made her rest her head on his shoulder again.
"Don't worry. Let him do his thing, and we will-', He held her chin and tilted her face up little, - "Do our thing."
Sanyukta frowned noticing his lips aiming towards hers, she placed her palm over his lips and watched amusedly as Randhir passionately kissed her palm. She cleared her throat and Randhir paused. He opened his eyes and quickly straightened, red-faced.
Sanyukta giggled pointing at his tomato red face.
"What?" He pouted
Sanyukta stood up, - "Till Papa agrees there will be no kissing." She announced. Randhir's mouth dropped open.
"Come on, don't be a Hitler." He whined.
Sanyukta chuckled and shook her head, - "No means No. Papa's orders. Anyways, I am breaking one rule by meeting you. I can't break any rule further." Sanyukta explained
"Anyways you are breaking one rule, break other's as well." Randhir reasoned.
Sanyukta doesn't reply, she simply crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows pointing towards the window.
"Good night." She said after a while. Randhir sighed standing up.
"Good night." He wished sadly. And as he placed his one leg out, Sanyukta leaned and quickly pecked his check taking him by surprise. He smiled widely as Sanyukta blushed. He demanded one more kiss but Sanyukta insisted he shouldn't be greedy. Eventually, Randhir gave up and climbed down.
Sanyukta blew a flying kiss at him which he pretended to catch and stuffed it inside his shirt. They smiled at each other and bid good night. After Randhir had disappeared, Sanyukta closed the window and leaned against it. A smile of contentment adorned her lips.
