Sanyukta stood by the window and admired her Henna clad hands. The beautiful design spread from her fingers all the way up to her elbow. Even her legs are covered till her knees with the beautiful design. She was glad they have dried and now she can move about easily. She sighed caressing her left palm with her right palm. She smiled thinking of Randhir's reaction when he would have to find his name here. The Henna artist has very skilfully hidden his name by scattering all the alphabets in the design.
Sanyukta's reverie was broken when someone knocked at the door. She turned around and smiled looking at her father.
'Papa.'
Kishore nodded and walked towards her. Sanyukta noted tears in his eyes and something he hid behind him. She frowned.
'Are you okay, Papa?' She sounded concerned. Kishore nodded and blinked his tears. He forced a smiled and said.
'Look what I got for you.' Then he moved his hand and showed her a small box. Sanyukta looked clueless. He forwarded it to her and she took them. Sanyukta opened them was surprised to see two golden ethnic kangans.
'Papa these are-'
'Your mother's.'
Sanyukta had tears in her eyes as well. She looked at them and reminisced how Anju was so keen to make her wear these on her wedding day. Sanyukta turned her head and looked at the bedside table, the photo frame of her mother. She smiled sadly. How happy and excited she would have been now. Only if she was alive.
Kishore cleared his throat and Sanyukta quickly wiped tears from the corner of her eyes and looked at her father. He smiled extending his hand and gesturing towards the kangans. Sanyukta nodded and handed it to him. She extended her hands.
'Your Mother would have been so proud.' He said making her wear the kangans.
'Yes, Papa.' Sanyukta nodded looking at the photo frame again.
Kishore admired the kangans on his daughter's wrist and smiled, then he looked up.
'Okay, Beta. Go to sleep. Tomorrow is the Pre-wedding photoshoot it will become tiring.' Kishore patted her shoulder. Sanyukta nodded lowering her head.
'And,' – Kishore held her chin and made her look up, - 'I don't want my pretty daughter to have dark circles on her big day.' He teased her and Sanyukta smiled.
'Oh, Papa!' She leaned forward and hugged her father tightly. Kishore hugged her with one arm and patted her head lovingly.

'Do I have to do a photoshoot in a shervani.' Randhir whined as Sanaya adjusted the collar of his cream and golden Shervani.
'Yes. And shut up, Sheku.' She scolded him. Randhir looked down at the heavily embroider Shervani.
'Who said only girls have to carry heavy dresses.' Randhir said bitterly. He frowned when Sanaya giggled.
Randhir didn't understand the point of the red and golden dupatta that Sanaya adjusted on his shoulder.
'I am not a girl to wear this.' He further whined.
'Shut up, Sheku.'
Randhir sighed. He remained quiet as Sanaya pinned the Dupatta on his left shoulder. She went around and brought the remaining half on the right side. She took his hand and rested the remaining of the beautiful cloth on his forearm. She took a step back and smiled.
