The bell finally rings. Thank goodness, too. She didn't think she was going to make it. "We are officially seniors!" Kaitlyn screams while throwing all her books in the trash and pulling Jasmine out of the classroom door.It is finally summer. Three whole months of fun and summer assignments. Normally, Jasmine would do her summer assignments in advance, but she decided to wait since it's her senior year.
"I know, I'm so excited!" Jasmine exclaims, walking down the hall with her best friend's arm locked with hers. They proceed to walk out of the school and approach Kaitlyn's car.
"Okay, there's a party for the new senior class to kick off summer tomorrow night. You're going, right?" Kaitlyn asks, starting up the car.
Jasmine lets out a small sigh. She does have a reputation of crashing parties, but not in a good way. She takes a minute to think, but before she can answer, Kaitlyn chimes in, "I'll be there, and nobody else will be there to set you off. They know how you are, so they'll be cautious?" she says will a questionable tone, trying to convince her friend to go.
Jasmine stares off for a few seconds before turning back to Kaitlyn. "Fine, but I swear Kaitlyn, if somebody piss-"
"Nobody is going to piss you off. Calm your hormones." Kaitlyn cuts her off. She pulls out of the parking lot and starts driving toward the mall.
"Why are we going to the mall again?" Jasmine asks, looking at the big houses that are passing by.
"Because we just are, maybe we can catch some sales. I just got paid today," Kaitlyn smiles.
"Okay," Jasmine says, laughing. "Speaking of jobs, I need one. I think I'm going to work at the new amusement park."
"Oh that's cool, you can get me free tickets and food."
They arrive at the mall and Jasmine and Kaitlyn immediately jump out of the car. Kaitlyn locks the doors, and they head into the mall. Jasmine guesses everyone from school had the same idea because the mall is very crowded.
"Let's go to the food court first. I'm starving," Kaitlyn pulls Jasmine with her.
When did Kait get so damn pushy? Jasmine thought to herself. She's practically dragging her to the food court. She better be happy she's her best friend or she would be getting her ass kicked. They finally reach the food court after three whole minutes of walking.
"Okay what do you want to eat?" She asks as if Jasmine was the one who took her over there.
"Last time I checked my red wrist, you were the one who wanted something to eat," she looks around the food court trying to find a good place since she was pretty hungry. "Ooh Ding! Ding! Ding! Let's go to Chick Fil A! Come on!" She runs into the long line. "Why so long?" She attempted to say to her friend, but when she turned around she only saw a guy. A cute one at that.
"Sorry babe, I guess you can say I'm blessed, but I don't think you were in my bed before," he says with a big smirk on his face.
Jasmine.
I know this boy did not say that to me. He may be cute with brown hair and light brown eyes with the little cuts in his eyebrows, but he's not cute enough to talk to me like that. He just dropped a number down from my cute-o-meter.
"Excuse me? Why would I just throw myself away for you? You're damn right I haven't been in your bed!" I draw my hand up, swinging forward to slap him, but he catches my wrist and holds it firmly. Did he just? Woah. He's just staring at me in disbelief.
