Warning!! A bit smutty 😉. Only a bit.

Feelings: Feelings are for the weak. I should've known that better than anyone with my dad being in a gang and all.

Too late. I'm already ankle deep in this mess we call crushing. Will I ever admit that to him? Never. He's a player, if I can keep reminding myself that, then I can finally get over him.

I believe, I'm just seen as another possible toy. As soon as he takes whatever's left of my innocence, he'll vanish. I don't think I can handle that.

I mean, think about it. I lost my dad and brother on the same damn day, I almost lost my mommy. To let someone in my heart all the way, is suicide. Once he gets me, it's over, I won't be able to force my feelings away.

I can't let my feelings grow any more than what they are. He's my crush, yep, I like him—but only a little bit. That's all I'm allowing. From a scale of 1-10? 6. And that's all it should ever be.

"Doll, we're friends right?" Liam asks me as he pulls on his shirt and I frown.

Damnit, I'd kill to see him half naked again.

Stop.

"Yeah, sure. Why?" I try and ignore the small feeling of hurt in me since I've clearly been friend zoned.

That's what you wanted right?

Hell, I don't know what I want.

"Help me with what to wear for homecoming? I know we have a game before it, but I still want to look sexy for the ladies," He winks at me and I fake gag. "Something stuck in your throat, Jasmine?" He smirks at me and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, this bile from looking at your face," I shrug. He puts his hand over his heart, mock hurt.

"Damn, Jasmine. You wound me, really. But honestly, I need to look sexy. I'm trying to get some—"

"Anyway," I cut him off. "Why should I help you again?"

"Well, for starters, I did buy you roughly eight-hundred dollars of lingerie so..." he trails off. I narrow my eyes at him.

"I hope you know you aren't helping your case, Forte. I never asked for that stuff. That was all you." I turn from him, heading for the kitchen. I open the fridge to get some orange juice and notice a note.

I swear if this is a 'oh we're gone for 3 months, here's food money to last about 6 hours. You can just use your friends' money for anything else' note then I'm going to blow a gasket.

Jasmine, hermosa, I have a business meeting today in California, I will be gone for the week. Michael should be there though...have fun? ¡Te amooooo!

"Why?" I groan and bang my head against the refrigerator door repetitively.

"Just pick up the pace a little bit and you've got yourself a preview on how it would sound with you in my bed," Liam's husky, deep voice says behind me, in my ear. I shiver.

Damn it hormones...couldn't hold it back?

"Shut up," I lean back into his chest and he kisses my forehead.

"Awe, sibling love. Isn't that great! I'm glad you are finally warming up to each other." I jump as I hear Michael's voice and I hold on to the kitchen counter to help me stand.

I pray to God he didn't hear all of that.

"What exactly do you mean?" Liam asks with his eyebrow raised, a smug expression on his face.
