Chapter 37 - I fall apart

The next morning we dropped Pip off at Phillipa's house and went to the police department. "Hi how can I help you?" The lady at the front desk asked politely. Ant rubbed my back and nodded to me. "I um...I was- I was raped..." I whispered the last part. The lady's smile turned into a frown. "Ill get you talking to a detective as soon as possible." I nodded and thanked her. We sat down and waited for someone to get me, an officer walked out from the back. "..Y/N L/N?" I stood up and followed the detective we sat down in a room with a window and he started to ask questions "Do you know the person who attacked you?" "We um we met at some restaurant and he was very kind. I didn't have a place to stay so I said I was going to a hotel, but he insisted I stayed with him, the next night we went out for drinks and I got up to use the bathroom. When I came back I took a sip and I passed out... when I woke up he- he..." I began crying. "Its ok your doing great, I know this can be hard but just let me know what he did to you." He said sweetly. I stood up and lifted my shirt up a bit to reveal the bruises and cuts he had given me. He nodded and wrote somethings down. "What was his name?" "Nathan. Nathan Sinkiwicz." I said wiping my tears. "Ok lets get a doctor to do a rape kit." I nodded and he led me back out to the waiting room. He handed me two cards, one with the doctors name and his own card if I needed anything. "Thank you sir." I said as I slid my hand into Anthony's. We got home and I went to make dinner. "Can I cook tonight baby?" Ant said, "uh sure." He gladly took over my spot in the kitchen and continued the mac n cheese. I sat on the couch lost in my thoughts, reliving that night, how much it hurt, how helpless I was. I stared into space as small tears trickled down my cheeks.

Knock knock

I turned to the door and got up to answer it. Phillipa stood there with Phillip and all of his items. I smiled and took Phillip in my arms. "Hey Y/N! I missed you, how are you holding up?" She asked giving a warm, caring smile. "Well im holding up so, thats good. Would you like to join us for dinner?" I bounced Pip in my arms as he kicked around. "I would love too!"
