The alarms were blaring as I raced to the pilot's pit. "Anoles, what is happening?!"
"The gravity of the planet below is drawing us to it! The systems are shutting down. I am trying to keep on the landing gear and slow our descent!" She was holding the shaking controls. "You might want to get to the box!"
"Anoles, let me help."
"Go Mira!" She ordered.
I sighed and ran to the box and stepped into it. I strapped in as I saw Wen, Gor, and Zart run in and buckle up. Greenie and Khau were trying to stop the engines from exploding.
The ship buckled, and I grunted. I started using the force to try to slow our descent to help Anoles, but it wasn't enough as were were still plummeting.
I heard the landing gear open and felt us hit the ground bumpily. I quickly unbuckled my belt and ran to Anoles, passing Khau freaking out and him and Greenie patching a hole in the wall. "Anoles! Are you ok?"
"I'm fine." She coughed. "But my baby isn't..." She gently rubbed the control panel, it fried.
"Where are we?" I tried to see out the window, the dark planet not yet illuminated from the sun nearby.
"According to my locator," Wen walked in, holding a pad. "Tenebris Semita."
"More importantly, is the air breathable?" Z asked, watching the two smaller members of the team attacking each other as the breach was half closed.
"Yes, it has Oxygen, but still bring a mask. Just in case. The gravity here is also ok, it's just things that orbit it that are too close come flying into it. "
I nodded and went to grab one of our specialized masks for planets without breathable air and hooked it onto my cloak hood. I held my lightsaber as I lowered the platform, going to see the damage outside.
"It isn't to bad out here. It is a bit dented on the third and fourth post, and the bottom is dented, but nothing else seems too bad." I walked around it, before feeling a presence behind me that made me sway.
I turned around and saw a dark cloak billow as it ran down a path, the light glow of red ahead of it.
I powered on my saber, and ran after the figure, ignoring everyone's questions as they buzzed in my com.
I raced after the figure, racing through the maze like walls. The glow of red kept me on their tail until it suddenly vanished as I turned into an open clearing. I looked around, trying to pinpoint the source of the light I had been following, hearing the wind hiss softly in my ears.
I heard a crack, and swung around, on guard, as I saw Z there, terrified as my saber was by his ear. I sighed and powered it off. "Sorry. You scared me."
"I understand. Are you ok? You ran off and are paler than Gor's fur."
"There's something here Z.... Someone... I don't know who, and I can't feel them as this place is radiating the force so much that it is making my head throb." I put my forehead in my hand, trying to think clearly.
"Come on, let's get back to the ship. The others are repairing it." He gently wrapped his arm around my shoulder, as I heard laughter.
I popped out my lightsaber's blades, on guard, as Z backed up, not having heard it.
"Mira, there is no one here. The planet, the force. It's messing with your mind. Let's get you back to the ship."
"No, there is someone here Z... There is...."
"Right you are little jedi." I heard the voice again and swung around, the voice echoing into my head.
"Who are you? Reveal yourself!" I ordered, trying not to tremble as a buzzing sound got louder in my head.
"Oh why should I? It is so much fun watching you squirm." The female's voice cackled, and I swung around again. I looked at Z and saw that he thought that I was going crazy.
"I am Mira, jedi knight! I demand you reveal yourself!"
"You jedi have no power anymore, but, I'll humor you." I saw a mirialan woman come out of the shadows, as Z saw her.
"Ok, you were right...." He got his blaster out which went flying as the woman used the force to send it flying.
I held my lightsaber firmly. "Who are you?"
"I think you know, padawan." She held her two red sabers in her hands.
"You are a sith..." I held my saber ready to fight.
"Indeed I am." She smirked, her unnatural red eyes seeming to glow with her saber. "Let me introduce myself. I am Darth Steix. Master of my own."
She was about my age, and had black traditional mirialan marks under her eyes and on her forehead. Her medallion yellow skin looked dark orange in the light of the sabers.
"What do want?"
"A student of my own, and it seems, jedi knight, that I have found one." She smirked at me.
"Why here?"
"Here? This place is my home. My solitary. The planet of mazes. Of dark. Paths." She drew out her sentences. Z fumbled to grab his saber that I had given him on Oya, not ready to power it on yet as he doubted that he could take her on with the limited training.
I tried to stop the pulsing in my head, gritting my teeth behind my lips.
I couldn't take it anymore, and jumped forward to attack her, as she blocked with ease. She threw me into a wall with the force, her cloak falling off to reveal her short black hair.
Zart tried to jump in and help me up as I shook, but Steix forced him to stay in place, never taking her eyes off me,
"So, ready to see what the dark side is all about?" She gave a smirking poker face that I could feel embedding deep into my soul.
"Never." I stood up, glaring at her, my saber to my side. "I will never join you."
