We landed on the landing pad as Anoles came out of the pilots pit. We lowered down, and saw many wearing pilot clothes with the Alliance's logo on their vests.
"I'll go log us in. Coming Mira?" Wen motioned for me to follow as Greenie bumped into me and forced me to follow him.
"Alright. I am coming." I chuckled and rubbed the droid's head and followed him and Wen.
The Command Center was an uproar as every leader of the individual ships were logging in their ships to keep track of any stolen ships or items or something of the sort. There was another spot where a bunch of the pilots of the said ships were signing up to pilot small X-wings to help when they found out what the weapon was. Mostly it was just already X-Wing pilot squadrons that already worked in the Rebellion, but there were a few who weren't.
Wen and I finally got to the front of the line. "Ship name?" The young girl asked, and I assumed she was helping her parents or something.
"The Rainstorm. Party of three humans, one Wampa, a droid, and a Woskacurry." Wen got down to business.
"Ok! Thank you!" She gave a cheeky grin, then held up a pad.
Wen took it and wrote some things down as I saw Anoles and Z go to the X wing table, and Anoles sign up. Z took the pad and also signed.
"We one more X wing, but since you have your own ship with firing capabilities, I will have you in charge of that, but I will give you a uniform." The man nodded.
"No need. I have my own." She smiled and walked off. Z collected his.
I followed Anoles confused back to the ship. She reached into an old trunk and pulled out a white bodysuit with a yellow vest and an old Republic symbol on it. She blew on it, the dust going everywhere.
We both coughed from inhaling it on accident. "What's this?" I asked, never having seen it before.
"While I was never formerly a pilot during the Clone Wars, I bought this with the Rainstorm. I wasn't able to fit into it a few years ago, probably five years before you joined, but I think with all the running we have doing lately, I can tuck into it." I stepped out for a minute so she could change, and she soon came out in the now chiffon white bodysuit and the daffodil yellow vest. "It's a little tight, but what do you think?"
I smiled at her. "You look like a fighter."
"Always have been." She smiled and grabbed her black jacket with brown shoulders that she usually wore and put it on before we started heading back to the boys.
"You should wear that more often." Wen smiled as he saw Anoles.
"You know why I couldn't. You and all your deserts." She booped his nose.
"Oh, looks like you missed a seam from one of our old battles." He found a hole in the suit. "Want me to stitch it up?"
"Go ahead. I'll go get the kit. We have some time to spare." They left.
"You know, I swear they are married." Z leaned against the wall next to me.
"I know right! But he isn't... Right?!" I started thinking. They've acted like an old married couple more times than I could count. But neither had a ring. Unless they hid it.
There was a sudden roar of engines and a lot of people ran towards it.
"What's going on?" Z asked someone's who's arm he grabbed."The Princess is alive!"
"What Princess?"
"Princess Leia of Alderaan!"
Z let go of their arm and they ran.
I felt a strong presence of two sets of Midichlorians and blinked. Two really strong force users. Near as strong as...
My eyes widened, and I threw on the hood of my cloak and hurried away.
"Mira?" Z raced after me. "Mira what is going on?!" He grabbed me and stopped me, seeing my terror in my eyes. "Mira?" He slowly sat us down on a crate.
"Two... Of the arrivals... Are strong in the Force... Nearly as strong... As someone I once heard of and only met once..."
"What do you mean? Who is this guy? Which ones?"
"The girl and the boy that are the same age." I looked at the crowd around them as I hid in the shadows. "I can't be here... If either of them are well trained, they'll sense me..."
"I don't think they are. The girl doesn't look like she has a saber, and the boy just tripped over on nothing."
"Still.... I need to stay out of sight..."
He sighed. "Alright. But that Jedi cloak and lightsaber will do you no good. Come on." He helped me up and dragged me away but kept me hidden.
We got to the ship and dragged me to his room.
"Why are we going to your room?" I asked confused.
"You said you didn't want to look like a Jedi, you wanted to hide in plain sight, so let me help you with that." He dug through his mess of a closet, full of all sorts of uniforms and different clothes. "Ah here we go." He pulled out a jacket too small for him, a black pair of pants that had shrunk, and a black hat with the Rebel symbol plastered over the Empire's as that is here he had stolen it from to hide my hair.
"Keep on your shirt under the jacket. You can borrow these." He shoved them towards me, then left the room so I could change.
I looked at the articles of clothing he had given me and began to change into them.
"How do I look?" I came out.
"Nothing like a jedi." He smiled, "Except, uh, your lightsaber."
"I can hide that." I hid it under the jacket. "Let's go."
