I felt myself groan. I didn’t need somebody this loud, this early. I hadn’t made her an omelet, either. I watched her enter the kitchen, already dressed and ready for the day.
“Why, good morning, sunshine!” I said sweetly, chewing the food in my mouth.
“Nothing for me?” She yelled loudly, feigning shock.
“You wouldn’t eat vegetarian food, anyways. Simply because that’s why I cook it,” I shot back sarcastically, taking a drink of my coffee. I loved the feel of a warm coffee mug in my hands.
“Okay, maybe,” Natalie conceded. I heard Harry laugh beside me, so I turned around to look at him. I’m glad he found us amusing.
“What are you all dressed up for, anyways?” I asked, turning back to Natalie.
“Oh, we’re going out for a nice lunch, I was supposed to let you know. You both have an hour. Haz, I have clothes for you. Liam brought them by, ever the gentleman,” Natalie said, chuckling slightly at my expression. I couldn’t get ready for something nice in that amount of time.
“An hour?” I asked, still in denial.
“An hour, so go get ready. Haz, you can use my bathroom, if you want. She’ll take every ounce of that hour,” Natalie joked, but I didn’t find it the least bit funny.
“How nice are we talking?” I asked.
“Semi-dressy. I’d say a summer dress and curly hair, love,” Natalie tried. I let out a sigh of relief. That meant no shower, my hair wouldn’t curl if it wasn’t slept on. I nodded, grabbing my coffee and pulling myself out of the chair. I ran into the bathroom, leaving half of my omelet in the kitchen.
“Does she eat?” I heard Harry ask as I brushed my teeth. What?
“Yeah, she’s just nervous. She thinks she needs to take forever to get ready, when she really looks fine,” Natalie said. I rolled my eyes at her, spitting out my toothpaste. They were on their way to the door, I’d guess.
“I’d say. Hey, thank you, by the way. I had a great time last night, and it probably wouldn’t have happened without you. I appreciated it.” I heard Harry say, right before the door between our rooms open and close. I felt my face heat up. Harry really had a good time? Did I have a good time?
Yes. I definitely did. I loved a lot of the different things about Harry. The little things, and the things everyone knew. I washed my face quickly before turning on my curling iron. I waited for the curling iron to warm up, putting on my makeup. I didn’t wear very much; putting on only eyeliner, mascara, and tinted chapstick. I added a little blush and some brown eyeshadow.
I slipped on my dress, a basic white thick-strapped dress, with a bow shaped piece of cheetah print fabric running across my stomach. The dress was formfitting, and ended mid-thigh. It wasn’t exactly a summer dress, but it had a semi-summer feel to it. I then curled my hair, stepping out of the bathroom a full five minutes early.
I walked over to Natalie’s door, knocking on it before walking in. I dug around her room, finding the cheetah flats I’d let her borrow, before walking to her kitchen. I found her and Harry both, sitting at the counter. They were talking about some new electronic, drinking tea. I cleared my throat loudly.
“I’m going to wear these. You weren’t planning on it, were you?” I asked, eyeing her outfit up and down. She was wearing a yellow and pink flowing floral sundress, obviously not something you’d wear cheetah flats with.
“Uh, no. Knock yourself out,” Natalie said, looking awkwardly at Harry. He’d either zoned out or gone into some form of shock, because he wasn’t moving. His mouth was slightly open, and he was staring at me. Natalie snapped her fingers in front of his face. “Harry, you can gawk later. Let’s go,” Natalie said, pulling on Harry’s blue and red signature blazer. He had on a white v-neck undershirt, and white pants. His shoes were blue TOMS. He looked cute. I found myself blushing furiously as I thought that.
Where are we going, anyways, Nat?” I asked as we piled into a car, all of the boys having met us in the lobby.
“That nice restaurant you said you were dying to go to. The, uh, Nando’s one?” She said casually. I could practically hear the smile in her voice. Although Nando’s was predominantly known for chicken, I had always wanted to go there. Honestly, it was more for the experience than anything else. I sat in the very back with Harry, Natalie and Niall were in the middle, with Liam on the other side of Niall. Zayn and Louis were sitting in the front, with Louis as the driver. I felt my face flush as Harry grabbed my hand, pulling me closer to him.
I felt his mouth on my neck, moving slowly to my ear. “You look nice,” He complimented quietly, smiling as I felt a shiver run down my spine. I rolled my eyes, pulling away and kissing him on the cheek.
“Thanks, love,” I whispered, acting like he didn’t have any effect on me at all. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he saw right through me, though. I sighed, putting my head on his shoulder. Nando’s was a little ways away, and I really wanted to sleep. I felt Harry rub his hands up and down my arm, and knew that, as much as I wanted it, I wasn’t getting any sleep in this car.
Author's Note:
Okay, I know I have been the worst updater ever when it comes to this story.
I'M SO SORRY!
I think I might have an idea. If I cut this as a short story, I could update more regularly, but it would only have four more chapters.
If I continue it as a long story, I'm going to edit it, putting some chapters together, and put it on hold for a bit until I can plan things out.
I need you guys to choose. Short story with frequent updates, or long story and on hold for a few weeks?
That's all, I think.
Love you strawberries!(:
