Chapter 7...
I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and whistling, I squinted and shielded my eyes from the sun rays that pierced into the room from one of the windows.
I looked around at everyone still sleeping comfortably, my eyes scanned the room until it landed on a familiar figure withe her back on the wall, arms around her legs and her face resting on her knees.
I stood up and slowly walked towards her, and plopped down besides her with a loud thud. I did it to wake everyone up but no one did. Meh.
"Hey, you okay?", I ask but she didn't reply. I didn't bother asking again cuz she's probably gonna snob me for the rest of my life. I stood up and that's when she finally spoke, "You know if not for the situation we're in I'd really hate you", she looked me dead in the eye.
"I'm sorry but that's the last thing he asked me to do", I said coolly, my face void of emotion as the stare down continued.
The feeling of hurt washed upon her face, "he asked you to do it?".
I sighed and broke eye contact then sat back in my original position, I could still feel her gaze on the side of my face.
"Yup, he told me to knock you out and take you with us, he didn't want to eventually turn on you", I reasoned. She finally stopped looking at me and turned her gaze to the floor.
"So what did that horde do to him?", her voice started breaking and tears were well evident in her eyes, ready to flow down at any moment.
"C'mon now's not the time to cry, we have better things to do B", I tried to lighten the mood but that attempt took a giant nose dive into the Bermuda Triangle. She broke and started sobbing, "C'mon... Beth".
"Shut the fuck up!", she stood up abruptly and continued yelling, "You don't fucking know what it's like to love someone through thick and thin. You don't fucking know what it's like and and you never fucking will. You'll never understand why I wanted to be with him and fight with him and even die with him", she turned her back on me and continued sobbing silently.
Everyone woke up to her rant and were all looking at me with confused expressions. I just shrugged and turned to face her then put my hand on her shoulder.
"Look I may not know how it feels to loose a husband, but I know how it feels to loose someone you really love. It's not easy to let go, it's really not at all, but a little advice from a nineteen year old, try your hardest to let go cuz its gonna slow you down and get you killed, especially in times like this", I dropped my hand from her shoulder and decide to wait a few seconds for her response.
I saw her response coming but not in form of speech, the back of her hand was heading straight for my face but I caught it without fuss and my glare was -100 degrees.
"Hitting me is not gonna get you killed but it's gonna get you really hurt", I dropped her hand and she came up close starring at me obviously trying to intimidate me and it sure as hell wasn't working, "Don't for a second think I'm afraid of you Camilla", she stepped back and stormed towards the doorway, when she got to the door frame she turned around to look at me, "oh and I change my mind", she trailed off and her face hardened, "fuck the situation we're in".
She turned and walked off. Oh and I have no fucking idea what she meant by that, fuck the situation we're in, well, a problem for later.
"Well I guess there's no point saying good morning this bad morning", I chuckle at my own joke and they join me.
"What does she mean by that?", Allison was the first to speak out of the audience. I fix my gaze on Beth, "who fucking knows Alli?".
