Kapitel Sechzehn

Chapter 16...

I turn around to run and a claw scratched at my arm, the pain shot up my right arm, I don't have time to look at the wound, I shake it off and keep running, my reward for slowing them down is getting out of here alive, and I have too.

I jump over a railing and slide under the next one, then what was left was a mini runway for me, I put my swords back in their sheaths.

I run towards the chopper as it was slowly ascending, I wasn't going to make it without putting them in danger, I stretch my hand out at Alli and shout, "The parachute".

Alli threw one at me and I caught it and wore the bag on my back, I nodded at Robyn and he pulled the throttle thingy towards him and the chopper pulled up, leaving me no destination but down, but of course I have a parachute.

I'm getting closer and closer to the edge, I could hear my heart beating in my ears, they may think I'm 100% fearless but no, I'm human after all. And this human is fucking afraid of heights. Everything went into slow motion, I could hear each individual sound, the sound of my footsteps, the sounds of zombie footsteps, the sound of the helicopter blades, the sound of my heart as its fighting to get free from inside me.

I close my eyes and whisper to myself, "you can do this Cami, you're strong, you're brave, you're not afraid of heights, you're not afraid of heights", I murmur to myself, I open my eyes and hold out my M16, I place my left foot, which is my stronger foot on the edge and push myself off of the building, I spin around so I'm facing them and I start spraying, I don't even know if their dead or not but their falling either ways.

Lucky for me I pushed myself off the building, I didn't just fall off so I'm not on the same vertical straight as the Antercid remake of the Niagara Falls. I sling the AR back on my shoulder and free fall a little, when I was getting close to the rooftop of the building next to the casino, I pulled the rope and my speed decreased with immediate effect, and then I start to glide, well not glide but, you know, what humans do with parachutes.

I landed safely on the rooftop and freed myself of the parachute, I turned to see them falling, they where still falling, I walked to the edge and saw them, they where still falling off, I looked up at the sky and saw the chopper above me, I spun my hand above my head signaling for them to land.

The chopper started descending, that's when I had the time to look at my right arm, it was dark but I could see three lines stretching from slightly above my elbow to my wrist, blood was seeping out of it dangerously, the helicopter was close and I heard a moan, and a groan, then out of the shadows came one of them swinging its arm at me, I successfully dodged it.

I pulled my swords out but the one on my right fell to the ground, I couldn't hold it, and I don't know why, I looked at the wound, it was hurting more than a few seconds ago, my blood was pouring in the floor, I swung my left hand at the Antercids head and cut its head in half.

"Oh shit", I look at my arm again, the pain was going slowly, but it was being replaced with numbness, "fuck", another one came from the door that led into the building, I took my stance again but something shot it down, I looked up and saw Jade pointing her gun at where the Antercid was, she started firing again, I looked back and saw them running out.

"Oh come on", I complained and started running, I could feel the chopper over me, it got to the other side of the building before me, it was an easy jump off the building but the problem was even as fast as I am, the Antercid are double that and they were gaining on me.

I saw a vertical pole on my left and wall behind it and I turned to it, I could feel them right behind me, I pulled out my handgun and threw it up in the air, I held the pole with my left hand and swung myself round it, I did a 360 hitting the ones that didn't run into the wall with my boots, it hurt but it was worth it, I ended up on top of the wall and caught my gun and started picking them off one by one as they ran towards me.

After I was done killing all of them I started feeling dizzy, my vision was going in and out of focus, I was loosing too much blood. I clutched my right arm and dropped down to the other side of the wall.

I leaned on the wall and sighed, "now what the fuck I'm I going to do about this?", I removed my left hand from where it was holding my right arm, it was stained red, I felt the wind blowing past me for longer than normal, I looked up and I saw the chopper had landed.

They all came out and their voices where all blurred, it was like I was drunk, but in a lot of pain that I couldn't feel. I heard Alli say, "shit she's lost a lot of blood".

Then the rest were all blurs again as I drifted out of consciousness.

So I really didn't have a lot to put in in this chapter! I'm sorry cuz it's short but, it just seemed like the perfect moment to end the chapter.

Also Antercid now has over 200 reads, damn thing!!! Y'all are amazing, I mean I wasn't expecting over 200 in just the fifteenth chapter. Thanks so much guys :)

And... I talked about a book I was working on a few chapters back, don't bother checking it's not there anymore, anyways, I'm going to delay that book by a lot because I thought of another one which also has something to do with an apocalypse, but no zombies. It's the cover that you see up there in the media, I'm like only 20% done with plot development, I'm totally done with character development, and it's going to be out in place of the other book. Y'all can follow the new Twitter handle I created for wattpad and my other passion, which is gaming xoxo
