Kapitel Achtundzwanzig

Chapter 28...

"Why didn't they throw an actual grenade?", Robyn asked.

No one answered so I said the only logical thing that could be the reason, "they want someone alive".

"Or all of us", Jade added.

"There's also the possibility that their just dumb", Kaden chirped. I looked at Kaden and pursed my lips.

"What? It is a possib-"

"Dude! Do you actually fucking think that's the reason?", an impatient Jade cut him off. Then she pinched the bridge of her nose, "I'll go check if there's more of them outside".

"I think it's better we don't split up right now", Kelly suggested and we all agreed with her. We all slowly walked upstairs, using the defensive tactics that we were taught on camp.

"Ohhh my God, we look like the fucking swat right now", Kaden whispered excitedly and Alli shushed him.

Jade led us out of the basement, I was after her, then Kelly, then Robyn, then Alli, then Kaden. We tapped each other's shoulders from the back of the line to the front when ever it was clear to move on.

We got to the main room in the cabin and there was a giant hole in the doorway, there wasn't even a doorway, it more like a semi-circle, drawn by a toddler.

Outside looked clear, but we're not taking any chances. We all took cover behind different objects, Alli was with me this time we stayed behind the walls that held the door to the kitchen. The walls were wooden so I'm not sure it's going to be much protection from some specific guns. Hopefully they don't have those kind of guns.

We aimed our weapons at the open space in case any smart motherfucker decided to pop out. Robyn was the one that was going to check if it was clear.

He walked outside and quickly checked both sides of the wall, "it's clear!", he yelled back into the house. We all came out of hiding and walked outside.

I sighed, "I wander who the fuck those guys were", I thought about all the possible groups of people that may have wanted to kill us, or kidnap us. None came to my mind wearing all black.

The only ones wearing all black were Will and Beth's SWAT looking guys, but these weren't them. Or were they?

"I have no idea love", Robyn answered causing me to freeze for a second. I acted like I didn't hear that but a particular idiot wouldn't just let it fucking go.

"Love? Since when did that start? I feel like there's a gap in my memory that no one is telling me abou-"

"Kaden", Kelly cut him off, "shut up babe"

While The K's were talking I caught a glimpse of something moving in the woods.

"See everyone knows when babe started between Kelly and I but no one-", I covered Kadens mouth with gloved left hand and put my right index finger on my lip. I scan the thick forest for another sign of the movement.

"It would be a lot better if you tell me nicely", he voice was muffled by my hand but I could still hear his words.

Jade shushed him this time and was now focused on the trees too. Like she saw it too. She pointed her gun at it, I couldn't see it but I think she does. Then two bullets left her suppressed gun.

We all waited eagerly for a few more seconds. Then an Antercid slowly shuffled out of the woods, it's dark grey skin peeled and pierced by some of the sharp branches and thorns sticking out of trees. Those limitations don't stop it though.
