Kapitel Eins

Chapter 1...

Michael signaled for my team to enter the first store, that's me, Jade, Noah and Harry. He was on the other team because they're more vulnerable to attacks, which means getting killed and the camp can't have that.

Noah enters, then Harry, then Jade, then me. We searched the convenience store in case of any Antercids, or bandits. Harry who's the eldest in our team, around thirty something, puts his mouth to the comm and says, "we're clear here MD", MD means Mad Dog and that's Michael Davisons nick name, he's the leader of the hunting crew.

We started filling our duffel bags with supplies and food for the camp, the entire LA is large, not to talk of the entire California, we've had to loot convenience stores and mini-supermarkets to survive, but we haven't reached half of the stores in the state. I filled my bag with vegetables and canned food, along with ropes, batteries of almost all kinds, and all sorts.

"Guys you done?", Harry asked, looking at his wrist watch, we got to meet up with the rest at the agreed rendezvous point. "Yeh I'm good", I replied looking to Jade who just zipped her bag, she nodded at Harry.

We all looked at Noah in synchronization who was filling his pockets with candy and his bag wasn't filled yet. I cleared my throat with arms crossed, he quickly turns around to look at us, his cheeks burning red, "I have a fetish".

"Dude fill your bag, we don't have much time you know, it's almost dark out", Jad glared at him and he went to putting ropes, flashlights, some canned foods and a jar of sweets.

"Why?", Harry stares at him with an eyebrow higher than the other. "It's for the kids... Always think of the kids", he defended.

"I can't believe we actually let you join this team", Harry face palms and Noah grins zipping his bag closed. "Well it's not my fault, you always follow angels not demons", he said referring to me.

Noah has had a crush on me— no scratch that, he has 'loved me' for as long as I can remember, so it's no surprise this idiot will put his life on the line to be in my team.

"Okay let's head out", Harry commanded, he moved out of the store and we followed, me at the rear as always, but this time, Noah was staying beside me.

The rendezvous point is at the supermarket so we have a while to get there and I'm pretty sure MD's team will almost be there by now unless they're all Noah clones who think it's priority to stuff candy in his pants and use 'the kids' for cover.

"We're headed to the rendezvous, what's your status MD?", Harry asked MD through the comm. There was static for a while, then we heard MD's voice came from the other end, "Uh... Well due to this being the F-Team, we're still filling bags", Harry chuckles and lifts the comm to his mouth again, "Well it's a good thing we've only got one on this side", Harry glanced at Noah with a smirk on his face.

"Hey... No fair", Noah said with a somewhat high pitched voice. "At least I'm not back there trying to figure out how to open a duffel"

"Okay duffel, quit it", Jade snapped at him.

"Quit what?"

"Whining brainy"

"I'm not whining"

"Well you're complaining about something really trivial", Harry comes in.

Noah looks at me, his eyes say help me, a small smile crosses my face and I look down at the pavement, "Okay guys leave poor Noah alone". He's face lighted up after I spoke in his defense.

"Okay, okay Cami", Jade rose her hands in the air, "just stop whining". Noah shot her a glare and she smirked, her signature evil smirk.

"We got less than half a mile left to get to the supermarket", Harry said.
