Chapter 12...

I remembered when I said that to Harry before he turned. I looked at everyone eating, appreciating the fact that we've been alive in this hell planet for as long as a year.

The ones that died along the way with us, Harry, Noah. RIP.

I took a big last bite out of the drumstick I was eating and dropped it on the plate. I placed the plate on the side table of my bed and I put my left arm over my head, resting the other side of my elbow directly on my forehead. I never really was in love with food. Before the apocalypse I never ate a lot to keep my shape, and what do you know? It paid of. Fat people won't get as much of a chance as turtles when being chased. Not to be rude.

"Well it's a good thing you don't eat much, but my stomach is growling", Kaden crawled to pick my plate up and set it on his laps, then devoured the rest of the lifeless chicken.

"You know Cami, eating has a really good role to play when it comes to regaining energy", Robyn of all people said.

"She doesn't really give a flying shit tho", Kelly came to my defense before I could open my mouth.

"I was gonna say I don't give two flying pigs, but it works either ways", I smile sheepishly at Kelly and she returned it.

"Speaking of Beth, who ever-"

"Who was speaking of Beth dipshit?", Jade cut him off.

"It was the only way I thought I could bring it up", he whined and pouted.

"Awwn", Kelly cooed and pulled his cheek, "isn't he cute when he does that?"

"No, but my shoe kissing his face would be", I commented.

"LOL", Kaden said sarcastically.

"So you were saying something about Beth?", I dismiss his sarcasm.

"Yeah do you ever wander if she's still out there, and if she is, is she safe?"

I massage my temple with my index and middle fingers, "since when did you care about little mis bitch face?", Kelly beat me to it and she was glaring at him.

"No... No... I was just... you know?", his lack of words was amusing to me.

Kelly's glare remained fixed on the side of his face as he tried to avoid eye contact. "Jealous much", Allison fake coughed the words out.

Robyn tried to hide his laughter when she turned around and her face went red with embarrassment, "I wasn't even-"

"Honey denying it is gonna make it worse for you", I cut her off before she tried to defend herself.

"And besides", Jade started, "Harry did say we should protect her"

"Well... Hopefully we'll cross paths with her again", I said flatly not really interested in the topic anymore.

"And hopefully when we do that, she won't be chasing you with a chainsaw", Kaden chuckled at his words, "and I'll regret that I don't have a video camera or something to record it with"

"Yh whatever", I dismissed the topic again and put my arm back in its position in my head and I let sleep take me.

I wake to see everyone still sleeping. "Great job to whoever was the last watch", I murmured and stood up.

My body ache was all gone but there was still a slight banging in my head. I walk out into the hallway after fully equipping myself. I walk down the hallway until I was standing right behind a blinded window, I opened the blinds and peeked out.
