Chapter 29...
All of a sudden he wasn't in my view anymore. I followed the path of the propeller and spotted him on the floor, pinned down by the blade of the propeller. I rushed towards him and knelt down in front of him.
"Shit, shit, shit", I cursed. I took in a deep breath and let it out. I was still fucking confused.
When the others got to us, I told them to help me remove the propeller that was lodged in his right arm. He protested but we were having none of it.
"Ok Kaden, I know this is going to hurt-"
"You think?", he said sarcastically.
I raised my eyebrows as high as they can get and shut my eyes and continued slowly, "but it has to be done".
"Does anyone have a rag, or a cloth, or anything?", Kelly asked. No one answered, so she tore out the bottom of the camisole she's wearing. "Okay this should be big enough, when you guys pull it out, I'll tie his arm with this", she held up a belt strap I bet she salvaged from the wreckage, "and Alli, you'll apply pressure on the cut to try to stop the bleeding".
We all nodded in agreement. Me, Jade, Robyn, and I held it from the middle while Kelly and Alli got ready.
"Okay on three", Robyn said while he made his grip on the propeller more firm. "One, two-"
"Woah, woah, woah", Kaden interrupted. "I believe it's my fucking arm the fucking propeller is in and it's me also experiencing the pain when you pull it out, so I would like to do the countdown myself", he ended matter-of-factly.
"To be precise it's more of a count up, cuz...", Alli said and trailed of into murmurs that I'm pretty sure no one else heard while playing with her thumbs.
"Count up, ha", Kaden chuckled, "I guess this must be messing with me then", he pointed at the propeller.
"Okay guys, on my three", he said with emphasis. "One", he said and waited for whatever dramatic effect that's going on in his wee brain.
"Three", I said out of impatience and we all pulled it out at once, followed by a muffled scream.
Then Kelly tied his arm with the belt strap and Alli placed the cloth on the wound and put pressure on it, "Jeez you've lost a lot of blood", she pointed out, then she took Alli's place in applying pressure, "Thanks Alli".
His blood wasn't flowing out as much as it used to but it was still flowing. Kaden looked at me with pain, "Owww", and I smiled innocently at him.
"No, no, no", he closed his eyes and shook his head, "you may feign innocence and all now, but you are the devil", he pointed his good arm at me.
I pouted, "I'm hurt Kaden", I placed my hand on my heart in mock pain. "Why will you be working with the devil then?", I asked as sweetly as possible.
"Well because...", he started and I waited patiently. "Because?", I pushed him on, when nothing came out, my smirk replaced my innocent smile.
"Fuck you", he rolled his eyes.
"Not sure Kelly will be okay with those choice of words", I answer, then continue, "and once again, I'll pass, your tiny cock isn't my style".
Everyone laughed at that. "Great, great, laugh at the guy who just got flung across the field by a chopper blade", his voice rose above the laughter, laced with sarcasm. "And just so you know, it's big enough to dis-virgin you twice"
We all laughed at that too. "I gotta admit, that was a pretty good come back, I'll keep mine so you can savor the moment"
"Yeah you do that", he nodded and chuckled, "at least sometimes you walk around with a golden ring floating above your head".
"More like black", I winked at him.
"Shit I need another one, this one's soaked", Kelly complained. His blood was still pouring out slowly.
"I could tear out my sleeve if that would be okay", Robyn offered.
"Yeah thanks", she replied and before he could rip it off, Kaden yelled exaggeratedly.
"What now?", Kelly looked at him.
"Um... take this", he unhooked a small bag from his belt and handed it to Kelly. "What's this?", she asked before she opened it and when she did, she slowly looked up at Kaden with her lips pressed hard together.
"What's in there?", Jade asked curiously.
"Fucking first aid", she replied, "and would you mind telling me why you didn't tell me you had fucking first aid before I ripped my fucking shirt?"
"To be fair it's a camisole and the reason is", he paused dramatically, "I just wanted to see how many hot girls would rip their shirts slash camisoles off for me", he grinned widely.
"Turns out it was only you babe", he stretched out his lips for her to kiss it.
She picked up a bandage and cut in half, then she stuffed the other in his mouth, "Jade do you mind holding that hand for me?".
"With pleasure", she smiled and instead of holding it, she just sat on it.
And with that Kelly started treating Kaden, his mouth was shut for the rest of the treatment as well. She did well, I would say.

Oh, I forgot to say we past the half way point when we past the halfway point, and the thing is, I don't know exactly, which chapter is the halfway point, but I know it's between 21 and 25. So 50 chapters is the maximum, but unlikely.
