Kapitel Elf

Chapter 11...

Everybody looked at Kaden with wide eyes, then at Robyn, then back at Kaden, to and fro for about a solid 30 seconds. Robyn's was the most intense and if looks could kill, Kaden would be dead, hell, he would've been dead about a year ago.

"What do you mean?", I can't believe what he just said, never, but everyone's expressions denies the fact that it's a lie.

"Moi?", he placed his right hand on his chest and looked at me like he didn't just say anything.

"No, I was talking to the door", I said, my words laced with sarcasm but he countered, "oh, then you must be crazy", he forced a laugh and started slowly retreating to the door, he opened it and went out then poked his head back in, "uhh... you guys have fun", then he left.

The awkward atmosphere was still present in the room, Robyn was hiding his face from my gaze, I know he could feel it burning through the side of his face but he's not budging.

"We'll be going out too", Kelly dragged Jade and Allison out the room and Doss limped out of the room, leaving me and my not-so-secret admirer now.

There was silence for a few minutes until Robyn decided to turn around and finally acknowledge the other human being in the room. "Soooo", he dragged then ran a hand through his hair, he wanted to say something but he shut his mouth immediately.

I sigh, "since when?", I ask simply.

"Since you punched my nose, to be precise", he chuckled.

I just kept a straight face, not showing him any emotions. But to be honest, cute? Check. Hot? Check. Absolute post-apocalyptic boyfriend material? Well, I don't know. Do I like him back? Hell no.

After he was sure I wasn't going to reply, he sighed, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you or anything but it's just a crush, I don't want it weighing you down or anything"

Excuse me? Does this guy really think that him having a crush on me is going to 'weigh' me down, I mean what the fuck? Ok yeah, in school probably.

"That was the worst way to go about it", I end up saying after my internal rant.

"Oh", he looked dumbfounded, "Oh, I thought you liked me back?"

"What? Who told you that?", I ask.

"Kaden"

I inhale slowly to calm myself down, I don't want to go out there and start a rant, I mean my body is still aching from the whole knife stunt I did a minutes back.

"But just know I'm going to support you with any decision you make", he finalized.

I chuckle, "I doubt it"

"Trust me, knowing the person you are, I'm ninety percent sure that you haven't changed your mind about going to Miami, and I'm with you if that's what you choose"

I eye him suspiciously and find know evidence of a lie printed on his face, then I sigh, "the others are probably gonna think I'm crazy, Alli had a crying fit because I said I want to kill that Antercid, and if she decides she's not coming with me, there's no way I'm going to bring myself to actually go"

"First, yes, you are crazy for still wanting to go", he sat on the chair Alli sat on, "Second, I doubt she's not gonna follow you, and third, you're strong, I'm sure you can take that thing without any of us, if you're properly equipped"
