Jess's P.O.V

"Nelle put your shoes on right now!"

I close my eyes as Conor's distressed voice echoes through the hallway, making its way into the kitchen.

Zipping up the lid to Nelle's lunchbox do I take a deep breath before bringing it over to the door.

"Babe, calm down"

Conor turn around as I nudge his shoulder, reaching my hand up to pull my fingers through his messy hair.

He sigh, dropping Leonelle's jacket on the chair beside us.

"I'll drive her today, okay. Don't worry"

I plant a kiss on his lips before I turn to our unimpressed daughter stood in the doorway.

Her hair was up in a cute little ponytail with a red bow matching her school jumper.

"Come on honey, you'll miss school if we don't get going"

I pick up her shoes and bring them over to her, letting Conor get past behind me as he walks into the kitchen, sinking down on one of the bar stools.

After a while Leonelle unwillingly put her shoes and jacket on, grabbing her school bag from her hook next to the front door whilst she waits on me to get ready.

"Okay, let's go then, see you soon bubbs"

I grab Leonelle's hand in mine after I've closed the door behind me, leading her with me to the car.

Driving in silence do I think of Conor, he'd a lot going on at the moment and I knew that he didn't get enough sleep to be able to function properly. The reason to why he's so grumpy and quiet all the time.

It hurt knowing I couldn't do much for him more than sorting out the family side of things, I payed the bills, made dinner and took care of Leonelle whilst he was either busy in the studio or asleep upstairs.

Dropping Nelle of had felt hard in the beginning, my trust issues making me anxious. Yet it had gotten easier after time and knowing she really enjoyed herself in school made me believe that it had been the right decision to put her in a public school like any other kid.

I drive back, listening to the radio as I watch the people that's out and about this early in the morning. It wasn't unusual to hear Conor's music on the radio nowadays even though I still found it hard to understand how big he'd gotten over the years we'd been together as I met him when he didn't even know if he'd be strong enough to continue with his career.

The smell of freshly cooked food greets me as I enter the hallway, hanging up my jacket next to Conor's in the wardrobe.

I find Conor in the kitchen, all up in the making of the most marvoulos looking breakfast I've ever seen him attempting before actually.

"Babe, you cooking?!"

He smile, turning around after he's pulled the scrambled eggs off of the heat.

That smile could actually keep me happy for days, I tell you that.

"Mm, I wanted to give you something back for all the things you've done for me reasently"

He grab me by the waist, pulling me close as he look down at me, those blue eyes that I still can't get over, not even after the five years that we'd been together.

I giggle as he kiss my nose, wrapping my arms around his neck as he connects his lips onto mine for a more passionate kiss.

"You're too cute sometimes"
