Pink. Pink is pretty. "Ugh, you look amazing, I'm jealous. I literally look like a potato sack!" Lyra complained and motioned towards her right fitted burgundy dress that had a deep neck V and the bottom of her dress reached the floor. Her makeup was simple yet not too natural and her nails were painted a blood red that matched her dress beautifully. She looked beautiful.
"You look beautiful, I have no idea what you're talking about." She smiled and dropped her head slight, accepting the compliment. I opened my mouth to say something but was cut off by my mom's gentle knock. I knew it was her because had it been my brothers they would have already been here by now. Oliver and David never came looking for me so it obviously wasn't them. "Come in!" I called out to her and as I did her head popped in.
"Some people are here to see you." She looked me dead in the eyes and behind her own I could see mischief and some kind of proudness swirling in then. Lyra scurried up to me as quickly as she could in heels and took my hand. We walked through the hall and down the stairs. In the living room say Max, Bellamy, Francesca, and Eli.
Tai cleared his through and nodded his head towards us, ending the conversation between him and our friends. All of them turned to us Eli's face shot up into a bright, beautiful smile. Eli was a very pretty person. She had short cropped hair that fell at her shoulders in waved and tanned skin, and eyes that looked to be the color of honey in the sunlight.
Truly a perfect match for Lyra. Eli stood up and swiftly walked over to Lyra and placing a quick peck on Lyra's lips. Lyra's eyes widened and her cheeks instantly turned out to be a shade of red that resembled a very ripe tomato. I chuckle and turn my attention to Bellamy who is always walking towards me. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked me in a whisper next to my ear. I was hesitant before I nodded. I felt self conscious, I've never not trusted Bellamy, and I didn't now. I just felt so exposed under his watchful eyes.
He lead me out onto the porch where he looked down at me, his eyes trailing from head to toe. My nose stared to scrunch but I controlled myself and stopped myself. I couldn't feel uncomfortable around Bellamy.
"You are beautiful." He told me and I suddenly felt at a loss of words. I️ shifted side to side, the slightest bit uncomfortable. People don't look at me like he does and it is quite nerve racking. "I'm sorry I didn't officially ask you to prom." He said and looked down at me. He genuinely looked like he felt bad. I smiled at him softly.
"It's okay. I didn't give you a chance anyway." I reassured him, referring to our fight. His frown deepened. "Hey, it's all forgotten. Don't worry about it." I said, delicately wrapping my arms around his waist and bringing him closer to me. He brought his hands to my cheeks and lowered himself to kiss me. I smiled against his lips and pulled away, resting my head on his shoulder. We stayed like this comfortably for a minute then I pulled away and took his hand in mine. "We should go now." He nodded and we went back inside to meet with everybody else.
