It's a process of evolution.
Metamorphosis
Is me choosing to go public.
Learning to take criticism without hurting.
Learning to crave attention for one thing: to spread poetry that could heal.
Metamorphosis is being in a vulnerable stage -
The teenage phase makes it all hard to contain
And very difficult to think straight.
But then as the teenage caterpillar I was wiggled into a poetic larva I started to see the world differently in my pensive immobile state.
God said go ahead.
Thoughts said go ahead.
Fears said, "No! You're scared."

Christian beliefs were condensed
As I started to shape my concept:
Leroy Lake;
I aim to spread positivity, love healing and a desire for living
With every word my pen takes
From my mind
And scrapes
Line by line
Onto Lake's forms of white.
