Abby

Abby watched Clarke come in the door and remove her jacket. She stared at her hand, sighing.

She had given Bellamy the letter and the ring back in December. It was April, and she was starting to wonder if something was wrong. She had assumed Bellamy wouldn't wait a second before proposing, but Clarke's fingers were still bare.

"Did you eat?" She asked her daughter.

"Yeah, a little. Raven had some pizza, but do we still have any of that pie?"

"Which one?" Abby asked.

"Key lime."

Abby opened the refrigerator and handed Clarke the last slice of pie.

"Thank you," she smiled as her phone rang. "Hello?... Right now?.... Yeah, I'll grab my coat." Clarke slid the pie back across the counter. "Hey, Bellamy wants to take a drive. I'll be back in a bit."

Abby smiled as Clarke left, her heart in her throat. She was happy, really. Her only fear was that they would skip steps, like school before getting married. She hoped they were still being safe, that Clarke wasn't ready for a child. She had so much life to experience first.

Abby put the pie back up and went to her room. She would watch tv and wait.
