She was created for us all,
Long, lithe limbs and a body ever so tall,
That her fingers played with wisps of cloud,
Yet she can disappear into any crowd,
She is bold and there if you know her,
She can scare you away if you're a bother,
Or lure you in if you're a threat,
To her we owe a great debt,
For, though few of us have seen her sign,
Her presence is felt in the hearts of others and mine,
As she guards this sacred place from others,
Because of her in peace, are my sisters and my brothers,
For we have a treasure richer than gold,
And many an explorer has tried to be bold,
To steal this water for themselves,
Only the orcs, fairies and elves,
May taste the eternal drops of our lake,
For their mortality was never to take,
So we keep the balance of death and life,
For while this world is full of rife,
Humanity is not ready for immortality,
For their gift would be lost- their morality.
