A reflection can ripple,
Disorientating your image,
Like rain on a lake pattering on skin,
Proud as a peacock with hidden beauty,
Can you show your true colours to the world?
As you're born through the ashes of fire and renewal,
To be the guiding light of a flickering flame,
Leading your people to a new hope,
A phoenix set free to spread its wings,
And scorch the sky with its healing fire,
As the burning sky lightens on a new day,
Dawn will be your birth,
As well as the releasing of the doves,
To bring peace to the world as freedom reigns,
Strong as the eagle that circles the mountains,
As it calls to friends and foes,
Courage and bravery must reign first,
Before victory and defeat,
But before and always must be love?
Love for your brothers, your sisters, and to all of those around you,
And then like the duckling to the swan,
You will grow into the purest, whitest bird of them all,
Free to spread your wings and go,
Wherever the wind may take you,
To fly south for the winter,
Or stay and brave the cold like the brave red robin,
Like a ripple on a lake from that drop of rain,
Your image will change,
But act with the purest intentions,
Then no matter how your feathers change,
From the rising of the moon to the setting of the sun,
You will be true to yourself,
That is the greatest strength.
