"And that concludes our tour of the giant stew pot factory."

Fletcher looked round at Donegan and Gracious.

"Well, I found that very interesting, didn't you?"

"Not really."

"I bet this tour is the best birthday present you've ever got, eh, Gracious?" Fletcher asked.

"Well..." Yawned Gracious.

"Come on, let's go home," Donegan said, and the monster hunters started to follow the rest of the tourists as they left.
Fletcher stayed behind.

"Ooooh, look at this pot! It's especially giant, I mean, compared with all the other pots here!"

"We're leaving, Fletcher."

"But isn't it interesting? I want to have a look inside!"

He climbed up the side of the giant stew pot with surprising ease, and leaned over to look inside.

"Wow! There's stew in here!"

He was right: a thick meat and vegetable stew was bubbling away in the pot.

"I wonder who made it?" Fletcher said. The monster hunters had left, so no one heard him.

"Let's see what it tastes like!"

Fletcher stuck his finger into the pot, but couldn't quite reach the stew.

"Come on... Nearly there..."

He stretched and stretched and reached as far as he could...

Splash!

"We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of Fletcher Renn, the last teleporter. If only he hadn't tried to eat the stew from a giant pot, he wouldn't have fallen in and been boiled and served to the giants who cooked the stew..."
