"Ahhh" I moaned as I woke up abruptly due to my head hitting a hard surface.
"Oh shit, sorry" a deep voice said before scooping me back up and placing me back down in what felt to be my bed again. My eyes fluttered open to see a first blurry but then clear Cairo. "You good?" He asked. It was basically pitch black in my house so just having Cairo's ice grey eyes study me was quite intimidating, especially with his tall structure hovering over me. "Angela you good?"
"Erm" I cleared my throat. "Yeah...why...Erm how comes-"
"Before you try box me down again you fainted or some shit at the party so I took you home. Not gonna lie I was expecting to have to explain some shit to someone but, a free yard at 2 in the morning. You're blessed"
"Not really, anyways thanks for not just leaving me there I guess" I mumbled.
"Oh I wanted to but Rio made up a fuss" he said which made me just roll my eyes. Typical. "I couldn't find your other friend though I don't know where she went but I had to leave cos the feds came and I was carrying"
"Oh Renae, I remember she got a lift home" I shrugged, snuggling deep into my covers.
"Oh... well erm you just banged your tough head so you shouldn't go sleep right away init, I'll see you when I see you"
"Mhmmm"
"You ain't supposed to be moaning yet, I haven't even done nothing"
"Hm?" I questioned making him laugh lightly.
"Fam you can't sleep for at least half an hour if you've banged your head, sit up"
"I'm fine, you can go now"
"Sit up blud. I'm not gonna go bin cos you died in your sleep and I was the last person you was with. That's embarrassing, especially cos I didn't have the honors of actually deading yuh bludclart" he said taking a seat on my bed. I tried to hold my laugh in at his Caribbean accent but I couldn't. "I don't know why you're laughing, I'm being for real you know"
"I'm sure you are" I said after I calmed down and sat up, resting my slightly throbbing head on my headboard and just looked at him while he yawned.
"What you looking at?" He grumbled, furrowing his eyebrows and turning up his lips.
"Nothing special" I scoffed, mirroring his face back to him. I pulled my pyjamas out from under my pillow then got up and went to my bathroom to get changed out of my pink turtleneck dress. I pulled on my bottoms and Pokémon pyjama vest top. I then took my makeup off with a wipe, before washing my face with African black soap and brushing my teeth. I patted my face dry, then applied aloe Vera gel to my face whilst walking back out the bathroom. I saw Cairo lying back at the end of my bed with his eyes closed and his hand hanging off the end of it. He was such a pretty human and he looked so at peace. I smiled to myself as I walked back over to my bed and threw a blanket over him before climbing back into bed carefully, trying not to wake him... but that didn't work. He's shot up quick and looked around with raised brows, slightly open mouth and wide eyes, which made me burst out laughing. The look on his face was priceless.
"Whatever man" he mumbled before getting up and stretching.
"You can stay here if you want" I rushed and his head turned towards me whilst he rubbed his eye with his left hand. "it's erm late and you're clearly tired even though you're not supposed to sleep on the job" I said after a while, whilst looking down at the covers.
