Just stop

My head is spinning

Plates are shattering

Tears are spilling

Shouts are ringing

Stop, stop, stop

Don't you see what you're doing

Stop saying you're going to leave

"I'm done, I'm done,"

"Just leave, get out."

I hear it every day

Stop screaming

Don't you see that your son is crying?

Don't tell him to shut up

Don't say it's none of his business

He's begging you to stop

Don't walk out the door

Your son is blocking your path

And you're screaming bloody murder

"Let me go, I need to leave"

Do you not mind your children's tears?

Why are you doing this?

Just stop fighting

I hate your tears

Stop it.

Your daughter's locked in your room

She won't come out

Because she doesn't want to deal with the aftermath

She's plugged music into her ears

To drown out the screams

It's just white noise now

I'm so used to it

Just stop screaming

Children should be children

Don't make us grow up because you still want to be a child.

Just stop just stop.

I can't stand it

My head is pounding

I'm not begging you to stay anymore

Your sons are crying

Their world is shattering

Your daughter's used to it.

There are no more tears

Just leave

Don't make me deal with the shouting

Get out

I refuse to cry

My head is spinning

My stomach is twisted

You keep saying "You can't"

But you haven't even tried.

I'm not begging you to stay anymore

I won't cry for you to fix your relationship

I just need the screaming to stop

Just stop. Just stop.
