How much I love you

How do I express how much I love you?

I can't possibly count the reasons

I can't find a number nor amount of time that goes that high

I could buy you flowers

But flowers will wilt and this love will never die out

Something so trivial could never express my love well enough

I could point at the stars

And say that as long as the stars remain so will our love

But even after the last star has died out our love will live on

I could serenade you

But you deserve the very best music

And the best thing I've ever heard is your own melodic voice

I could kiss you and shower you with affection

But how can the pressing of two sets of lips together

Be even close to an honest measure of expressing how much I love you?

I could write you a poem

But even as my words live on

They mean nothing without the actions to prove them

And this is how I know you'll never truly understand how much I love you
