Forget what the rest of the world thinks

And simply let the warm summer air brush over our skin like smooth velvet

Let's talk for hours

Letting the words slip off our tongues easily and pretending we're the only two in the world, because you're all that matters

Drinking in the beautiful bright stars shining like glistening diamonds

And the silence that allows the hours we've spent to replay in our minds

Let's pretend that this isn't foolish and spontaneous and believe love will last forever

So let's pretend the end won't come and just smile at the beauty of the moment

Let's pretend that I'll never find someone like you again

And that you couldn't let the opportunity slip through your fingers like sand

Let's pretend that we love each other
