I just want to take you out for a cup of coffee,
We'll talk about our favourite things and you'll wait till I finish my cup to tell me that you don't even like coffee.

I just want to spend hours looking up drive ins showing your favourite movie
We'll snuggle under blankets and you'll wait till the movie is finished to tell me that you left your glasses at home and couldn't see a damn thing

I just want to build a pillow fort in my living room
We'll talk forever about little things and you'll wait till I'm about to lean in to steal a kiss to tell me you need to get home

I just want to spend all morning preparing a picnic for us
We'll find the perfect spot, under a giant maple tree and you'll eat until your mom calls saying it's an emergency

I just want to take you to my favourite part of the world
We'll exchange secrets and you'll show someone else MY favourite part of the world

I just want you to love me the way I love you
We'll spend years together and you'll spend your mornings with me and nights with her

I just want to fall in love with someone who loves me
We'll grow old together and I'll forget all about you.
