I told you so

They told me about you.

They said "one day she'll walk into your life, stick around for a little, and leave"

I didn't believe it

They said "she'll break down your walls, open you up, and escape before morning"

I was in denial

They said "she'll never leave your mind, suddenly everything will have brown hair and brown eyes, and a voice that sounds like heaven"

I didn't listen.

They said "she won't break your heart. It's your soul she's after"

I still let her in

The last thing they said to me was this: "I told you so"

And my answer was "I'd do it all again"
